Hi all,
Just checking how many people agree that Ranbir is

1) A Great actor
2) He is here to stay for next 20-25 years
3) He is future superstar
4) Has proven beyond doubt that he is a star material.

And how many people do not agree at all ?

For nay Sayers - Yes there is Roy, BV and Besharam but there's also WUS, Barfi, YJHD, Tamasha and Rockstar.

I still think ranbir is one of the best actors out there. He needs to sort his personal life mess, choose films wisely and he'll be right up there.

I agree with numbers 1 and 2, but I am not sure about numbers 3 and 4. That is only because I don't know how much he actually wants to be a "superstar." I think, with the right film choices, he has the potential. However, he seems less about "star" status than about exploring his craft in projects and roles he cares about. In that way, i definitely believe he can be successful actor for the next 20-25 years, but I am not sure about the traditional hero "star" a la SRK or SK. I believe he could definitely be the next Aamir Khan, but only if he wants it.

He might be No 1 ( rest i doubt) but he has not been able to convince me to watch his movies ( barring YJHD)

Just because he has given hits in the past and has great support system due to his last name doesn't automatically mean he will be back.
We have already seen it with Abhishek. With Run, Yuva, Bunty Bubly, Dhoom, Guru, Sarkar he was doing so well in 2004-2006.
Then one Drona and he is nowhere. Even having Big B as dad and Ash as wife couldn't help him in his bad phase.
I hope Bombay Velvet is not Ranbir's Drona.

Personal life joke - Yes
Professional life - No. Every actor has a lean phase. Good that he learnt his lesson earlier in career.
