You can take fixed line broadband connection with wireless modem. It will be faster and cheaper than all 3g data packs in mobile. Mine is airtel broadband. It works just fine all the time. I recharge mobile with some nominal data pack for net on the move.

Ah, most Wifi come from broadband connection. You probably need to contact the company providing you the connection and complain about the repeated disconnection..or you can change the net provider.

Do you have fixedline broad band or usb broadband??? Coz earlier i had usb vodafone broadband. It was totally crappy so disconnected it and shifted to fixed landline airtel broadband with wife. Its works pretty well.
