TOI:Khalid Siddiqui as Devoleenas new hero in Saathiya

After the exit of Mohammad Nazim, the male lead in 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya', the makers have finalised Khalid Siddiqui to play the new hero opposite Gopi Bahu (Devoleena Bhattacharjee). He will be introduced as Krishna and will play Gopi's love interest. Kokila (Rupal Patel) will get Gopi married to him.

'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' is the story of two cousins Gopi and Rashi, who are completely opposite from each other. Gopi is an orphan who lives with her uncle and aunt and her cousin Rashi. She is an innocent and illiterate girl. On the other hand, Rashi is shown to be very wise and even greedy like her mother Urmila Shah. The story starts with the very wealthy Kokila Modi's search for a perfect bride for her son Aham. She chooses Gopi as her daughter-in-law which makes Rashi and Urmila jealous of her. Aham leaves his girlfriend Anita for his mother without knowing that Gopi is illiterate.
