*Chapter -4*
We all were woken by the sound of doorbell and Kriya's cook whom kriya introduced to us as James sauntered in.
"Oh honey.You have guests?? That's first "
His expressions some somewhat comical , a mix of surprise, confusion and awe.
"Why didn't you tell me ??"
"They paid a surprise visit"
She said
." More of a shock". she muttered to herself.I guess she was back to her grumpy self but then again at least she was not giving me those glares and scowls ,that surely count as something.
"Well i making pancakes "
A couples "yeah" and "sure" followed.
"Guys freshenup .James has brought some toothbrushes for you people"
Saying this kriya went away , i don't where.
"So swayam has a sister"
I said to Sharon as everyone went their ways.I was curious about her,there were so many questions running in my mind and my head was spinning with all that.
"Yeah ??"
Her statement sounded more like a question.
"Why is she living here ??"
I asked getting impatient .I couldn't ask this to kriya as it can destroy our newfound friendship or whatever is it.A look of hesitation spread on her face.
"Rey, its not my place to tell you"
with that she hurriedly went upstairs.

After freshing up , i was going downstairs but an hushed voice , which sounded like Arjun caught my ears. Rey, its not your business do not listen, but maybe this is your chance to every thing about kriya.At the end curiosity won and i went closer to tthe door .
"You're coming with us"
Swayam hissed at kriya.
"No , I am not.I have work here"
"You can work in India too.You know in dad's company"
This wasn't the calm Swayam like i had known him.This swayam i am seeing here is impatient and kinda rude.Was it all a lie , a facade put up by swayam.Did he ever considered me as friend.
"Or mine"
Arjun intersected.
"Bhai understand please. I can't face him.I don't want to see hate for me in his eyes.I-i j-just can't"
Kriya stuttered.Woah !! the confident kriya is nowhere seen.Her voice so vulnerable that it took me everything to not to go in there and console her.
"Eavesdropping , Are we ??"
Suddenly , out of nowhere Vicky came.He raised his eyebrow.
"I am merely curious"
Off course i am not gonna admit it.
"Curiosity killed the cat"
He said in a strained voice.And he looked serious, That's new.
"Firstly , the cat was stupid and secondly i am not a cat"
I said smirkingly.
His lips curved upwards in a smile.
"I always knew ,you were smart.So what do you want"
He said coming straight to a point.That's what i like about him, he doesn't beat the bush around.
"Everything about her"
I said.There was no point in denying that i don't find her interesting .She is interesting as well as attractive.
"Oh i see.Smitten by kriya .huh?"
He smiled but something was off about it.
"Barely.I find her interesting.And also find myself clueless about everything.This is so frustrating"
"Fair enough. I can not tell you her whole story but i can give you some hints or details"
I am sure my face looked like a child on chritmas who just received his favourite gift.
"Are you sure?"
I asked out of courtesy.What i couldn't understand is why he out of all the people was telling me this.
"Ye come on.Lets talk somewhere more private.My room"
He then led to his room.
There Sharon was already sitting cross-legged on his bed.
"Sharon !!! What the hell"
He let out a girlish shriek .
"Stop with the dramatics, V"
then she looked at me and said
"Thought i could also contribute to the story"
"Really now sharon.I thought you said no to me earlier"
I asked totally surprised as well as confused by her this behaviour.
"Umm well i heard you two talk and since he agreed to give you some details , i guess i can also add some points as i was her bff"
She said not meeting my eyes , a hurt expression crossed her face.
"Okk so here we start"
"Well 5years ago, something happened, something extremely terrible that caused all our lives to change"
The seriousness on his face was undeniably dangerous.
"Yeah, after that we all changed a bit , but the major impact was on Kriya, Swayam and Arjun.They just changed drastically.Swayam built a wall around him , always seems calm and composed although he is not really, Arjun became a lost soul and extremely workoholic and Kriya just vanished in thin air"
Sharon had a lost look on her face as if she is remembering those times.
"We were finding Kriya from almost 5 years, yet unable to track her down.She is really smart.Whenever we would try to track her location , it would always bounce from one place another.What a f**king genius"
An angry vicky voiced his thoughts.Sharon placed a hand on his shoulder but looked at me and said
"You know the rest "
I nodded at them, processing all these things to my mind.
Now i am more confused than ever.
"Hey Vicky why did you tell me all this?"
I asked as this question also started to annoy me.
He thought for a second and then replied
"I saw your encounter with kriya , last night on roof top.You're good for her"
Me good for her?? .What is he playing, a matchmaker.
"Woah .What are you upto , haan ?? You know i don't do commitments"
He has really gone crazy if he thinks that i'll date kriya.No. never.I just find her interesting that's it.This isn't some clique novel, where player falls for a simple girl at first sight.
No no no .Not happening.
"I never said a thing about commitment or something.Maybe she just needs a friend"
He said, although i don't believe him.
"Come on guys.Let's go , before they came to hunt us down"
Sharon said and we walked away.

"What happened"
I asked kriya.She was unusually grumphy today.
She didn't replied but just closed her eyes and rested her head on sofa.
"Guys, kriya is coming with us and we are leaving for mumbai today"
We all were lazing around the living area as Swayam dropped the bomb
"And yeah , the World Cup practice starts in three days"
Everyone cheered at it but I groaned at that only in 3 days.Not fair.At that time the person who was more unhappy than me was Kriya.And we all know why.
"Eavesdropper"
She simply stated but that one word made me freeze.
"What are you talking about"
"I know you heard us talking"
She had a blank face, i cannot tell she was angry or not.
"Vicky is so wrong, i don't want anyone in my life.Not even a friend.I m not worth it"
She said with a bitter laugh.
She heard everything .oh-uh she is angry or will she kick me out.
"Are you mad at me"
I asked, it killed me to even see her mad at me.I don't know why.
"You have every right to be curious Rey.I am not mad"
I sensed a but there.
"But don't dig into the past, it will destroy everyone's present and future"
