CHAP 8:
Next morning nandini woke up and then she went to bathroom to get ready. Today she wore simple dress for a change. She fill her vermilion with sindoor and adjust her nuptial chain and also her heart pendant chain which manik gifted her. she looked at manik he was sleeping on his stomach shirtless. Today was Sunday so she didn't wake him up.
She went to him and stared at his peaceful face. She traced her fingers in his hair and smiled and went down. nandini went to kitchen and saw mukti. She smiled and wished her morning.
"abhi bhi thaki hui lag rhi ho nandini..." mukti saw her face and said.
"haan mukti wo hum thode se thake hue to hai, wo pehle engagement then wedding ki preparation aur phir wedding, reception in sab mein bahot thak gye hai.." nandini said in weak tone.
"aur raat ko bhi aap so nhi paa rhi hogi hain na?" mukti asked her with innocent face and being innocent girl nandini also reliped her.
"haan raat ko bhi so nhi pate manik sone hi..." nandini was about to say something more she looked at mukti with shocked expression. She was suppressing her laughter. Nandni looked down in embarrassment.
"mukti aap bhi na...jaie hum aapse baat nhi krte.." nandini said with fake anger and pout. Mukti laughed out loud and hugged her. nandini also smiled and hugged her back.
"mukti didi aap ko aur dulhan ko Nyonika madam ne apne kamre mein bulaya hain.." one maid came and informed them.
"mumma apne bulaya tha..." mukti said as soon as they entered in nyonika's room. Nyonika nodded her head in yes and gesture them to sit.
"haan humne ye batane ke liye bulaya tha ki hum do din ke baad manik aur nandini ki shadi ki pooja ke liye apni haweli jaa rhe hai, apne gaav, mukti aap ko to pata hai na iss pooja ke bare mein" Nyonika said to them and nandini looked at them confusingly.
"nandini wo shadi ke baad puri family hamare gaaon jate hain jahan pr hamari haweli hain wahan jakar hum mandir mein pooja krte hain..taki aapki life pr bhagwan ke blessings rhe hamesha" Nyonika said her lovingly.
"humne aap ki pooja ke liye special saree select ki hai aapko humare designer ke pass jana hai aur collect krni hai aapko wahi saree hi pehan ni hogi.." Nyonika informed her and after some talk they left from there.
"waise aaj Sunday hai to manik bhai ko lekar kyun nhi jate aap thoda sa time bhi spend kr lege aap dono" mukti suggested her and nandini smiled brightly. She with help of mukti prepared special breakfast. Nandini arranged all breakfast in trolley and with help of servant she went to room with breakfast.
Nandini opened the room and saw that manik was not in bed. she saw that bathroom's door was open that means manik was not in bathroom. She went to his study and saw that he was talking on phone. As usual he was looking Greek god. He was wearing white shirt and his specs was giving him perfect look. She knocked at hi study room and manik looked at her and nodded his head in yes.
Nandini entered in study with food trolley. Nandini was arranging his special breakfast on table when she heard his conversation.
"to aap bataiye hum kya kr skte hain isme..agar har choti choti baato ka dhyan hum rakhege to hum apne doosre kaam kab karege..aap jante hain hamare pass waqt nhi hain aise kam ke liye ab har kaam ko sirf hum hi dekhege kya?" manik said in his dangerous yet low voice. Nandini sighed and decide that she won't tell manik about shopping.
Manik cut the call and looked at nandini and smiled. Nandini also smiled and wished him morning. Manik put his file in drawer and shut the laptop and get up from chair and came to nandini. she was looking at breakfast when manik hugged her from back and said in his ever husky "good morning.." nandini shivered on her place and manik smiled and nuzzled his face in her hair.
"manik aapka breakfast..." nandini said and manik broke the hug and sat in front her sofa. Nandini also sat on sofa and served him his breakfast. Manik was shocked to see different types of breakfast.
"ohh..itni sare dishes wo bhi breakfast mein something special??" manik raised his eyebrow and looked at her. nandini just smiled and said "nothing special wo aaj Sunday tha to humne socha ke aap ke liye ku6 special banate hain..that's why."
"lekin itna sara special hume acha laga k aap itna sochti hain hamare bare mein.." manik smiled and sipped his juice and nandini smiled because he praised and appreciates her.
Manik was getting ready for office because he had some important meeting in office. After that manik left kissing her forehead and nandini went down to meet mukti.
"yahan kya kr rhi ho abhi tak gyi nhi manik bhai ke sath?" mukti asked her in surprise tone.
"hum unse pu6 hi nhi paye wo itna busy the, upar se pooja ke liye hume jana hoga isliye wo abhi apna work finish kr rhe hai.." nandini said sadly and mukti patted her head.
"its okay koi nhi chal hum chalte hai..shopping bhi krni hai thodi si..abhi ke liye bhi ku6 lena hai.." mukti suggest her and nandini happily agreed and went to room to get ready. After sometime they left from there for shopping.
Nandini and mukti first collect their sarees for pooja from designer. They bought lots of dresses and also some for manik and abhi. Mukti and nandini also bought sari for Nyonika. They were about to entered in some shop when mukti's phone rang.
"haan abhi.." mukti picked up her phone and said.
"listen wo humare friends aaye hai London se, they want to meet you, so hum aapka luch pe intezaar kr rhe hai so jaldi aa jaye hum aapko text krte hai address.." abhi said and mukti said okay to him and cut the call.
"kya hua?" nandini asked her as soon as she cut the call.
"I am sorry nandu for spoiling our fun but abhi ke friends aaye hain from London so abhi wants me to join them for lunch... agar nhi gyi na to phir unhe gussa aa jayega," mukti said in sad tone and nandini nodded her head in yes.
"its okay mukti aap jao hum yhi se ghar chale jayege don't worry aap driver ko lekar chale jaiye hum yahan se taxi le lege" nandini suggest her and mukti bid bye to her and left from there.
Nandini sent all her shopping bags with mukti. She took taxi for Malhotra mansion. she was sitting in taxi when all of sudden she thought to meet navya and surprised her so she told driver to take right turn from there and she went to navya's house.
Nandini rang the bell and one of her servant opened the door. Servant welcomed her in and he went to call navya. Nandini sat on sofa and navya saw her. nandini smiled and navya ran to her and both hugged each other with so much love.
"so kaisa laga surprise?" nandini asked her as soon as they broke the hug.
"matlab ghar pe koi nhi janta that you are here.." navya asked her in shocking tone and nandini nodded in no. navya made her sit on sofa and ordered servant to arrange some food for nandini. nandini handed her a bag and navya raised her eyebrow in question.
"wo me and mukti went to mall for shopping. Actually we are going haweli for pooja as per our ritual so mumma send us to her designer for collecting our dress..so I have nerver planned to come over here so we bought nothing for you, so I bought your favorite chocolates and sweets from your favorite shop.." nandini explained her and before navya could say anything nandini's phone rang.
"mumma ka phone hai.." nandini said and picked up her phone, she looked at navya. Navya was gesturing her to say not to her. but she couldn't understand her gesture.
"nandini beta where are you? Aap abhi tak ghar nhi pahochi..mukti ka phone aaya tha hume hum aap ka intezaar kr rhe the.." Nyonika asked her in worried tone.
"mumma wo shopping to kab ki ho gyi thi wo hum jaa rhe hai na haweli to socha navya se milte jaie isliye navya se milne aaye the." Nandini said everything truth. And navya held her forehead. Nyonika's expression changed into frown.
"nandini aap abhi iss waqt ghar aaiye hume bahot zaroori kam hai aap se." Nyonika said her in serious tone and cut the call.
"okay mumma.." nandini said obediently and cut the call and get up from sofa and navya slo get up from sofa and held her hand.
"ghar jake mums ku6 pu6e to ye hi bolna ke humne aapko bulaya tha, hume aapse ku6 kam tha isliye.." navya said in serious tone and nandini looked at her confusingly that why navya wanted her to tell lie.
"lekin hum jhuth kyun bole navya, mumma ko is baat se thodi ne koi problem hogi aap bhi na kya kya sochti rehti hai..Anyways bye mumma is waiting for me ku6 important kaam hai inhe hum baad mein baat krte hain.." nandini said and hugged her and left from there.
"he..matarani bas sab thik rakhna.." navya prayed.
IN MALHOTRA MANSION:
Nandini entered in hall and saw that Nyonika was reading some magazine. She went to her and sat beside her. Nyonika looked at her and put the magazine on table.
"nandini aap navya ke ghar kyun gyi thi?" Nyonika asked with that serious expression.
"wo mumma aise hi..hum reception main mil nhi paye the thik se aur hum pooja ke liye bahar jaa rhe hai to humne socha ke mil le usse.." nandini explained her everything.
"nandini beta for the first and last time hum aap ko samja rhe hai k aise hi navya ke ghar mat jaya kijie..hum aapko samja rhe hai pyar se manik ko pata chalega to unhe pasand nhi aayega.." Nyonika patted her cheek and said lovingly.
"lekin mumma isme kya galat ho gya hum sirf navya se mil kar aa gye manik isme kya gussa karege" nandini asked her innocently.
"nandini beta in sab ke bare mein itna mat sochiye hum aapko samja rhe hai samaj jaye, manik ko samjane ki nobat na aane dijiye.thik hai?" Nyonika asked her in serious tone and nandini nodded in yes. She get up from sofa. She was about to left when she turned she saw someone was standing behind them. none other than mr.manik Malhotra. nandini give a sweet smile to him but he without saying anything left to his room.
Nyonika murmured "I hope manik ne suna na ho hamari baato ko aur unhe pata na chala ho ke nandini navya ke ghar gyi thi.."
Nandini entered in room and saw that manik was talking on phone with someone. He looked at her and cut the call. She was about to take off his blazer but manik stopped her and he took off his blazer.
"hum ku6 laye aap ke liye.?" Nandini asked him with smile but manik ignored her and loosened his tie and took out his watch.
"kya hua manik? aap ku6 bol kyun nhi rhe hai? Ku6 hua hai kya?" nandini asked him
"aap kahan gyi thi nandini?" manik asked her in calm yet dangerous voice. His voice was so calm but his eyes were looking so angry.
"wo..wo..hum mukti ke sath shopping pe gye the.." nandini said looking down because his eyes were giving her so much fear.
"ye hum jante hain hum ye jan na chahte hai k aap uske baad kahan gyi thi?" manik asked her again in that same tone. Nandini didn't answered him.
"nandini humne aap se ku6 pu6a?" this time manik's voice was so dominating.
"hum batate hain..aap navya ke ghar gyi thi right?" nandini looked at him and nodded her head in yes.
"kya hum pu6 skte hain k aap wahan pr kis wajah se gyi thi?" manik asked her coming close to her. nandini took two steps back.
"woh..hum reception mein mile nhi the unse aur kal hum bahar jar he hai to soch k hum mil le unse.." nandini said everything looking down.
"sirf iss wajah se aap gyi thi wahan pe..." manik asked her and raised her chin with his finger and nandini nodded in yes.
"manik kya hume navya ke ghar jane se pehle aap se pu6na hoga?" nandini asked him with frightened voice.
"jee haan...aaj ke baad agar aap wahan jayegi to sirf humare sath aur wapis bhi hamare sath hi aayegi.." manik said with his same tone.
"lekin manik wo humari friend ke ghar hai..." nandini was about to say something more but manik raised his hand to stop her in between.
"she is not only your friend, she is married woman, aap jiske ghar gyi thi wo navya ka mayka nhi tha it was her in laws house..aur hume ye bilkul pasand nhi hain k aap yaan koi aur bina wajah wahan jaye.." manik said and tears brimmed in her eyes.
"aur yaan hum ye samje k aap wahan pr isliye gyi thi k aap ye sure krne chahti thi k navya khush hai yaan nhi..ye baat k hum sach bol rhe the yaan nhi? Right?" manik fixed his specs and nandini nodded in no.
"nhi manik hum sach keh rhe hai hum wahan isliye nhi gye the.." nandini said nodding her head in no.
"you know what nandini hum nhi jan na chahte hain k aap kyun gye the wahan pr bas itna jaan lijiye k aaj ke baad ye galti nhi honi chahiye dobara...is that clear?" manik asked her and she nodded in yes.
"lekin manik isme.." nandini was about to say something but manik turned and picked up his casual wear and he was about to go to bathroom but he stopped in his way.
"keh diya humne bas now the topic is closed and discussion is over.." manik said and went to bathroom and nandini wiped her tears because in just two days of marriage manik today scolds her a lot.
After that everyone take their dinner and Nyonika told them about arrangements of pooja. In whole evening nandini was so upset her mood was so dull but manik didn't have time to cheer her mood. in night nandini fixed their bed and manik was working in his study.
Nandini switch off her phone and lay down and closed her eyes. Manik came out and saw that she was sleeping. He lay down beside her before that he kissed her hair and slept.
