CHAPTER-5

Vishnu reached the hotel with Nandini and Navya and was walked straight to the conference room with his P.A.

Before going he asked both the girls to wait for him in the garden area at the backside of the hotel.

They nodded their head and proceeded in that direction.

Meanwhile Vishnu entered the conference room and found his most trusted employee ready with the presentation.

His employee greeted him and they discussed some important points regarding the meeting.

After some time the delegates arrived and Vishnu along with his employee successfully completed the presentation and cracked the deal. The delegates were very impressed with the dedication and tactics of Vishnu's employee. They praised him , signed the documents and left .

Vishnu felt very proud of his employee.

He patted his back and said- Well done young man. I am really proud of you.

Employee- Thank you sir. It was my duty. And most importantly I have learnt everything from you.

Vishnu- This is the thing I like about you. You never get carried away with praises and work hard every single time.

By the way it's almost lunch time. Would you like to join me for lunch.

Employee- Sure sir. I will wind up this work and meet you directly at the restaurant.

Vishnu- O.K. Jaldi aana.

Saying this he went and joined Nandini and Navya.

Nandini's point of view-

After Dadu left for the meeting I took Navya to the garden area.

We both went and sat on a bench and were talking on random stuff. Soon we got bored and thought to call Dadu to ask him when will his meeting be done.

I was about to call him again but someone came and placed his hands on my eyes.

I recognised that it was Dadu. He always used to do this.

I smiled and said- Finally u are here Dadu. Pata hai hum log kitna bore ho rahe the yahan pe.

Dadu said sorry and held his ears.

I chuckled on seeing this and hugged him.

Then we went to the restaurant.

I was about to place the order but Dadu stopped me and said that someone else is also joining us.

I looked at Navya who was equally confused and Dadu smiled seeing us.

Just then a tall guy came to our table and Vishnu asked him to have a seat.

That guy sat down beside Dadu .

He was sitting just opposite to me.

Dadu introduced him to us.

Dadu- Nandu beta , Navya beta meet him . He is my most talented and trustworthy employee Manik Malhotra.. And Manik she is my granddaughter Nandini and her friend Navya.

We exchanged hellos .

Just then my eyes met him.

His eyes were deep brown .

I got drowned in his eyes when Dadu called my name and I came back to reality.

Dadu asked me to order the food and I did.

We ate with a lot of chatting . But that guy Manik was not at all active in our conversation. He just answered Dadu in yes or no .

After having our lunch, we came out.

I asked Dadu if I can stay at Navya's place for the rest of the day.

First he said no, then he agreed after a lot of pleading from me and Navya.

Navya didn't bring her car as she came with us in our car.

And Dadu had some more work at the hotel so he couldn't come with us.

He requested Manik to drop us at Navya's place.

He agreed and we left in his car and Dadu went back to the hotel.

CHAPTER-6

In Manik's car-

Nandini and Navya were talking on random stuff.

But Nandini was feeling a bit awkward in Manik's presence.

She wasn't comfortable in front of strangers.

Navya's house was a bit far away from the city so they had to cross a deserted road.

When they reached that road, Manik saw someone lying in the middle of the road. He stopped the car and went to check him.

Seeing the opportunity a person came and opened the door of Manik's car and took Nandini away at gunpoint by covering her mouth.

Navya shouted for help. Manik heard this and came to the car and saw Nandini missing.

Manik turned to see the guy lying on the road but he was not there.

He realized that it was a trap to kidnap Nandini.

He couldn't understand why would anyone want to kidnap her. But then her safety was his first priority as his boss has given him the responsibility

of dropping Nandini safely.

He asked Navya where that person has taken Nandini.

Navya pointed her finger in the direction . She couldn't speak as she was still in a shock.

Manik rushed to the direction and saw that person was about to sit in a car and Nandini was sitting in the backseat.

He rushed to the car and saw that Nandini's hands were tied and mouth covered with a tape. She was struggling to free herself.

He caught hold of that person and started beating him.

That person's face was covered with a mask.

Manik tried to remove his mask but he hit Manik and ran away.

Nandini was crying nonstop.Manik freed Nandini and she came out of the car.

Manik asked if she was O.K.

Nandini hugged him immediately with such force that he lost balance but he composed himself and patted her head and said that everything is fine now.

Navya came running to Nandini.

Nandini left Manik and hugged Navya.

Navya consoled Nandini and asked her to stop crying.

Manik said that it's not safe to stay there and took them to the car and went to Murthy Mansion as Nandini needed her grandfather in this condition.

All three of them went inside and waited for Vishnu to arrive.

Navya took Nandini to her room and Manik was sitting in the living room.

After sometime Vishnu came and saw Manik.

Vishnu-

Manik tum yahan. Kya baat hai. Nandini ko Navya ke ghar drop kardiya na tumne.

Manik- Sir actually wo apki granddaughter apne room me hi hai.

He told Vishnu everything.

Vishnu was shocked after hearing this. His worst fear of Nandini getting hurt was coming true.

He rushed to Nandini's room and saw her sleeping in Navya's lap.

He didn't want to disturb her sleep and went down.

Manik was still waiting there.

As soon as Vishnu came , he took his permission to leave as he was getting late.

Vishnu thanked Manik for saving his Nandu's life.

Then Manik left to his house.

Meanwhile in a small house , a woman was waiting restlessly for someone.

Worry was evident on her face.

Just then the woman saw that person enter the house for whom she was waiting and heaved a sigh of relief.
