Its emotional not just because of the sadness but because of the enlightening journey that the main lead takes in it...The way she realizes God and her purpose of life through the journey of her life and how nothing matters to her anymore after she realized who she is...Ufff, one has to experience it to know what I am talking about...Its a BRILLIANT show!!!!

Meri zaat manages to make me cry even today. I've watched it quite a number of times but it gets me every time. There is so much in that drama..it's not just about regret..it's not just about realization..it's so much more..Some scenes just stand out for me..shakeela's hand shaking while she takes the oath..saba and arfeen meeting after all those years..the way saba forgives everybody...the way she says that she doesn't just pray she loves God..the ones who just pray are capable of hurting people but those who love God cannot hurt others. The way Haider asks his father why he couldn't forgive Saba..
So many memorable scenes..faisal qureshi is ❤️..nobody can cry like him👏

on a side note, after I saw many mentioning Quaid-e-tanhai here, I went and checked it out on the wikipidea...Looks like Faisal played loser husband in a lot of dramas...My first drama of his is Bashar and I thought he looked good in that macho man roll...
