The Hill
A travelling man sat down to rest from his journey by the side of the road.
As he rested, another man passed by.
This other man, the traveler observed, walked very slow and was bent forward, his expression was troubled and pain reflected in his eyes.
"What ails you fellow?" called up the wise, but simple man.
"Come and join me and take a rest, for your form is such that I see a need in you to share the burden that you carry."
The other man sat down, stared far into the distance for a while and then began.
"I have lost the very dearest person known to me.
" Tears welled up in his eyes as he spoke, he then fell silent for a short time before continuing.
"I feel that I am constantly walking up a hill and that the wind is always against me, my feet are as heavy as clay and in my stomach I carry hot coals.
I say to myself now that I must turn back to ease this pain.
If I walk back down the hill then maybe I will find that all of this is not true and that my loved one will be waiting to greet me."

The traveler sat listening to the other man's story, and replied.
"You must not go back down the hill. You need to reach the top, for thereafter you will find the path will level, the wind will soften, your feet grow lighter and the hot coals will cool. To go back down the hill will prolong your pain, for the path to your healing is forward and up the hill."

As the traveler got up to continue his journey, he said to the other man,
"The one you have lost is not at the bottom of the hill but with you all the time, for you carry their spirit in your heart."

How Long Will The Pain Last?
How long will the pain last?"
a broken hearted mourner asked me.
"All the rest of your Life."
I have to answer truthfully.
We never quite forget.

No matter how many years pass, we remember.
The loss of a loved one is like a major operation.
Part of us is removed,
and we have a scar for the rest of our lives.
As years go by, we manage.
There are things to do, people to care for,
tasks that call for full attention. But the pain is still there,
not far below the surface.

We see a face that looks familiar,
hear a voice that echoes,
see a photograph in someone's album,
see a landscape that once we saw together,
and it seems as though a knife were in the wound again.
But not so painfully.
And mixed with joy, too.
Because remembering a happy time is not all sorrow,
it brings back happiness with it.

How long will the pain last?
All the rest of your life.
But the things to remember is that not only the pain will last,
but the blessed memories as well.
Tears are proof of life.
The more love, the more tears.
If this be true,
then how could we ever ask that the pain cease altogether.
For then the memory of love would go with it.

The pain of grief is the price we pay for love.

Bikica , 😭what a great tribute !β€οΈπŸ€—
With broken hearts we are all reeling under the effect of sorrow and shock .
Many links , so many revelations , some dubious in nature , some heart- wrenching , the case is still in haze , a much needed interference / warning from the Govt [HM] . Now hoping Justice for our beloved Pratyusha .
Padmaja , your tribute to our Prats through your poems and posts , --hugs to you for sharing the grief with all of us , in a way echoing our feelings at this moment . πŸ€—
Gina and Vibha , thanks for wise advises to console us , Kety , Nado , Ahila , Madi , thanks for the creations and words . With heavy heart we are moving forward , because it is inevitable .
Hope Branka is fine in her mother's place , Dragica , I can imagine your pain , in your silent posts .πŸ€—
Wheel of life is running as usual , but she is not there to light our TV screens with her amazing performances . A young artist's unscheduled exit , which created a crater in the hearts of her fans . She will be remembered as iconic character Anandi forever in the Indian TV history, in the memories of her admirers .
Justice for Pratyusha .

Before this FC ends, I want to say something.

Never in a million years,We would have thought that we will be mourning the loss of the girl we adore and love.

It was, still is, a devastating time for her family, friends and fans.

If not for this place, I think I would have gone insane. This place and the people here have helped me a lot personally.
So, I want to thank all the members I've met here, friends I've made, for without you all, there would have been no one to understand why the loss of a woman,we have not met could affect us so greatly.

We have not met her. But we all have 'felt' her. We have felt what she emoted through her characters.

My personal favorite is of course Anandi. Though I'm bitter about it sometimes now when I think about what-ifs.

We have felt her childlike innocence, heard her giggles , witnessed her sweetness and her strength on television. We must not have met her. But we have felt her in our hearts.

As the days go by and the nasty circus that is the media keeps on spinning its own circle of lies, claims and 'revelations' and the law does its own thing slower than a grasshopper, one thing is beginning to sink in, that she's no more in this world.

She may not be alive in this world, But she's alive in our hearts, our memories. She always will be.
Rest in peace, Pratyusha. May you get Justice.

Please, do reply on the comment of Narendra Parihar...

Where was the mother when the daughter was staying and struggling her carrier alon at Mumbai?
Had the family been with Pratyusha, she could have easily overcome the emotional bumps of the life. Family is also responsible for the death.
It has become a feshion, to blame the Man only, in such incidents , without even knowing the other side . Society presumes girls are small babies and can be harassed. It is reverse also many times.
It,s foolish to adopt American live-in relation and expect committements of Indian marrige system. If one partner is not willing , or not serious , the other should get detached and move on.

Good morning!

A big hugπŸ€— to all my friends here, missing Garima, most unlike her not to join us even after Prats' death, hope all well in her world!

Let me thank Gina, older than some, much younger than quite a few, but always the Mother Hen, so protective and caring towards us, thank you Gina, for the indelible memories, the incredible moments of laughter, joy, anguish and disappointment, that we all shared together, because you made this journey happen.

Our Muse has gone, her face launched a thousand words, siggies, collages, VMs, OS, SS, more than that, she united continents and enabled us to make wonderful and heart-warming friendships, love you all❀️, my wonderful EX Yu girls and girls from over the world and India for your steadfast devotion and unconditional love for Prats. But guess, just as not a single snowflake falls accidentally in the wrong place, nothing in life happens by chance,if something ends, we need to let go, it is a process of our evolution.

Prats has gone and given closure to so many things, continuing with the Fc would be like continuing the bank account of a dead person, no new links of her activities, no new updates but genuine fans of Prats can always celebrate her memory, discuss her death investigations and meet and chat at our existing chat club, Somewhere over the Rainbow. Unfortunately, Branka, the owner of this CC is out of her country( the transition would have been smoother if she was here) and not in contact now due to her brother's PC problem, but all dear friends over here, feel free to join there, she will add your names once she returns, end of first week of May.So we only move home and can continue together, for those who desire.
