Chapter 8:
It was a new day, last night was probably the first night in two years where I didn't have a nightmare about Manik's accident. I felt content and happy, he still didn't remember me but at least he was here, in front of my eyes. I got out of bed to get myself ready for the day ahead, today I put in more effort than usual to make myself look presentable because the only person I want to look good for is here. I got dressed and rushed outside to see him at the breakfast table. I initially promised myself I would keep a safe distance from him, avoid him as much as I can but let's face it when Manik is around Nandini can't ignore him. I can't ignore his presence so instead of killing myself trying to avoid him I will be with him and make enough memories to last me a lifetime, this week is the only time I'll get with Manik and I don't want to lose it.. So self control is now forgotten business. He can't be my boyfriend but he can be a friend..

'You met Nandini?!' screams Alya as Cabir narrates yesterday's events. 'She's here? She's our manager? And how did you know she's our manager???' Mukti bombarded her questions at Cabir, 'Anjali told me, she's part of the plan' says Cabir smirking. 'Anjali who? And what plan???' asks Alya.. 'Anjali me, and plan mission get manan back together', a voice comes from the back and as they turn they see Anjali Singhania. 'Anjali!!!' Alya and Mukti scream and run to hug her, after them Dhruv and Cabir come to hug her. 'Wait Anjali you know Nandini?' asks a confused Dhruv.. 'Know her? I live with her' 'WHAT?!' comes as a reaction from Alya Mukti and Dhruv as Cabir stands their smirking. 'Nandini is my roommate/flat mate and best friend, we've been living together for two years now' reveals Anjali.. Mukti Alya and Dhruv just stand their with confused expressions, there's so many questions in her mind that they don't even know which question to ask first.

I wake up feeling peaceful after so long, I love London every time I come here I feel so relaxed I don't know why but I do. Even when it's for business trips London feels more like home to me than Mumbai does. There's just something about this place that gives me courage and solace, I've just never been able to figure out what that thing is. Today I feel the most relaxed I've ever felt, I feel content as if I found something that I lost but God knows what that something is. Whatever it may be, it feels good to not feel stressed for once. I take a shower and get dressed and head down to the for breakfast and find no one that I know, only Nandini sitting along with some of her colleagues I'm guessing. The place was packed with a lot of bands, everyone was sitting in their groups which reminds me where the heck is my group.. I take my phone out to call Cabir and dial his number 'Hello Manik, before you ask where we are let me tell you we all already had our breakfast.. Everyone slept early last night as they were so tired so we got up really early and had breakfast already, now you go eat something and meet us for practise later and bye!' he says all this in one go and hangs up. Unbelievable! I sigh as I sit on a table ALONE to eat, I pick up the menu card and make the hardest decision of my life, what to have for breakfast. I was so lost in the menu I didn't realise someone came and sat in front of me, as I look up I almost get scared by the sudden appearance of Nandini in front of me. 'Good morning' I greet her politely, ignoring she almost just scared me to death.
I came down for breakfast and didn't see Cabir or Manik around, I also wanted to see Mukti Alya and Dhruv but couldn't find them so went and sat with some of my friends that are also music teachers in warrior high and are looking after other groups from other countries. I wait for a while for FAB 5 to show up but they don't so I get annoyed and start eating my breakfast when I finally spot Manik talking to someone on the phone. So finally his highness decided to show up for breakfast, I had been waiting for him for 1 and a half hours. I wanted to slap myself for behaving this crazy for him but I knew I love him and running away from him will get me nowhere so I just ignore everything and focus on Manik.. I don't want to spoil my mood by thinking about how we can never be together. He gets annoyed after the phone call and goes sits on his own, he looks very uncomfortable alone on such a crowded place. Where the heck are his friends? Why is he alone? I question myself in my mind and not being able to find a logical answer I get up and sit in front of him to give him company. I see him staring at the menu card so carefully as if life depends on what breakfast he chooses to eat this morning, how much I missed him. He looks up me and gets surprised and then wishes me good morning with his ever so charming smile. My heart flutters with his smile, 'good morning' I say as I smile back at him, I continue to look in to his eyes avoiding everything else. He raises his eyebrows confused by my behaviour, I ignore that and continue gazing into his eyes, he waves his hand in front of me 'Nandini are you okay??' he asks looking very confused.
