Chapter 8
He was quiet happy at how things turned out finally twinkles mother knew about their affair and now no matter what whether her mother approves or not he is going to get married to her... he was sure that twinkle would agree to elope and get married... the day his mother revealed to him about their rivalry with leela taneja he had decided he is going to make her suffer for his fathers death... he would use twinkle and brk of their relation.. but the real shocker came when twinkle dint even allow to kiss her before marriage... seeing how modern she was he felt that it would be a small fling which he would use against her mother... but twinkle turned out to be all opposite but he kept patient and made his way into her heart...he thought gettin married to her was the only thing that would allow him near her... so he thought if that was the price he was ready to pay... and he would abandon her after the damage was done after all her mothers revenge was his duty...
To enjoy his day he was on his way to a friends party at a farmhouse outside Amritsar... write about the turn near gurudwara he noticed his car... and clenched his fists on the stearing wheel remembering how he entered their life and ruined his plan.. all was mixed up due to that Kunj Sarnas marriage proposal...he thought of having a talk with him and ask him to keep away ... as now Leela taneja knew about his relation with twinkle and she whole heartedly accepted him to marry he daughter so he should stay away from twinkle... that way he would finally remove this obstacle from his path...he parked his car and was walking over the steps ... when he noticed him on a bench near the pond with a girl in his arms... Yuvi smirked as he realised finally Kunj was out of his way with some girl and was no threat to him... he walked friskly towards him to warn him to get away from twinkle and enjoy himself with the girl in his arms... but as he neared he noticed that girl was some1 familiar...that dress was the one twinkle wore yeasterday on the suicide point... he got the situation and filled with anger and obsession blinding him ... he turned his head here and there and found a rod lying down... he lifted and it and blowed it over kunjs head... thank god... of a pole near the bench which blocked the rod ... but the rod made an impact enough to make kunjs head bleed and hold it out of shock and pain... he fell on his knees holding his head...
"KUNJJ"... twinkle looked at kunj filled with horror... as she imagined the damage the rod would have done to his head.. at once she looked behind and found HIM holding the rod and eyeing kunj like a maniac... she could not recognize him... who was he... was he the one whom she loved or.. believed she was in love from years... did she never noticed this psycho side of him all the while... or ignored to notice... she was scared and frigthened... seeing that man for whom she lied to her mother... her own mother... all these years... he was her bf and she could not remembered what was the reason she dreamt of marrying this guy some day... her eyes not blinking... she realised that it was not time to think.. as she heard kunj trying to get up.. taking support of the bench...the hand which was holding his head was red... and the place where he placed the hand on bench was red too...
She got to her senses... and knelt down.. holding kunjs face... "kunj tum thik ho"...lifting his face... he had not lost conciousness ... she was surprised even after getting hit so hardly... but she knew that blood was oozing out... if more blood was out of his body he surely would lose himself ... "Kunj utho".. she held him over her shoulders...
"Twinkle ye kya kar rhi ho tum... tum iski maddad kar rhi ho... ye jo humari happy joyful relation k bich me aya hai..chhodo ise aur mere sath chalo... .."he removed kunjs arm from her shoulders and started dragging her ...
Kunj stood there holding the bench...

She knew she had to do something... there was some1 whom she never considered close was bleeding ... minutes ago he was the one comforting her. And yes she felt light and relieved crying in his arms... she could not remember the last time she cried in Yuvis arms or last time he comforted her... was it that she could did not remember or there was never a moment in their relation when such a thing happened. This was the time she had to let go... and decide maturely... she remembered her mothers words 'kab chodegi ye ladki apna bachpana' ... and she swiftly removed her hand from his hold... and as Yuvi advanced forward... to again make his hold... she .. spoke pointing her finger with threatening voice "hath mat lagana muje Yuvi, chup chap chale jao yaha se...varna acha nahi hoga..."..she looked here and there... around the people who were glancing at the duo... ... and made a gesture for him to understand that he needed to leave or else... it would not make a good scene out here in front of gurudwara... "twinkle me sab thik kar dunga .. tum uske liye ruk rahi ho... apne yuvi ko dhamki de rahi ho... apne yuvi ko... tum janti nhi yuvi tumse kitna pyar karta hai"...
"Yahi toa jan gayi hun yuvi ki pyar kya hai..., tum chup chap yaha se chale jao aakhri bar bol rhi hun..".. as the people around staring them increased Yuvi knew that it was better to leave for now...
Twinkle looked him fading away ... she watched till he was out of site... in front of her was the one person whom she thought of would be her life partner...all these years
...behind her was a person whom she dint understand but still felt connected...
Without losing time.. she walked where kunj would be standing... but he was no where to be seen just a crowd gathered around the bench.. .. she realisd that something was wrong... why was she late at everything... why could not she ever come to a decision early... if something was happen to him.. today... she would never be able to forgive herself...she ran in the direction... kunj was unconcious on the bench...and people were staring at him... asking who was he... and chatting that a guy came in hit him and walked away... her anger for the crowd was sudden... she felt like slapping each one for staring... and not helping... this was not the time... she held his face... in failed attempts she tried to lift his body but she realised he was too heavy...she tried to put his arm around her shoulder... seeing a girl help... two noble men came forward to help.. twinkle eyed a thank you to them... she made kunj sit in the front seat tied his seatbelt... and drove to the nearest hospital...and with the help of few nurses managed to take him inside... she waited outside for about half an hour...
She was surprised as how time could be so slow... thinking about if she would have brought him a little earlier... she knew he was concious when the rod hit him... but she left him standing beside the bench what must he have thought of her... of course he must have thought how selfish she must be... leaving a bleeding man on his own... with his bf...
What... BF... no she had decided that she had enough of it now... there was no BF... that was it... her blindfold of being in love was washed away... coz of all events occuring lately... she was no gf of any1... and she felt free and relaxed of making a decision for herself for the first time and being satisfied about it...
Just then the doctor walked out... with a smile and she knew he was fine but still she needed it to hear it...
"Aap sahi time pe inhe hospital le ayi agar zyda blood loss hota toa inke brain ko permenant damage ho sakta tha... vaise inka blood humare blood bank me available hai so... blood chadha diya hai inko... tension ki koi baat nahi hai"
To say she was happy was less... she was elighted... and felt the kind of burden being lifted like never before... how could she feel so much... and why...
" Doctor unka blood group kya hai?"
Even she dint know why she asked that question...what was the need doctor informed that there was enough stock in the blood bank ... but her heart knew... that the idea of donating him her blood delighted her.. it was a way to apologise him for insulting that night... to thank him for his support when no one was there and say sorry for even being minutes late to get him to treatmeny and making him unconcious...the minute doctor would say that his blood group was O-ve and she would readily ask permission to donate her blood...

Chapter 10

Its amazing..

"Discharge papers ready krne toa ek hi nurse kaafi hai na... aap dono yaha kyu hai"
They did not expect such a question from twinkle...yes they were here to flirt with him... but twinkle asking it out frankly was least expected..
"Vo vo..mm... hum mese ek details puchne k liye.. and ek chart par vitals check karne..."
Kunj looked at the nurse and twinkle quiet satisfied with the answr...
"Kya poochna hai aapko,,?" Kunj asked politely..
Why was he so soft with them she groaned in her head.. yes he was not aware of their talks on the reception...he was busy having his naptime in the bed...thanks to the sedatives...
"Aapka naam?"
"Kyaa aapne admission form nahi padha... mene usme bold letters me likha hai... KUNJ SARNA".
Twinkle fired at her...
Kunj was surprised why was she so cranky on these nurses... til now she was fine...what happend all of a sudden..
"Yes mam.. we know it. But its the usual procedure... to confirm that the patient is alright in his all senses..."
Twinkle had nothing to say on this... she just looked away grumpily...
"Aapki birthdate...?,,,mam ye toa admission forms pe nahi mentioned hai... toa ye toa valid question hua na???,,the nurses smiled sarcastically... and twinkle was surprised at her cockiness... no one would mess with Miss Amritsar... and she decided that the these two would have it from her...how much she hated herself for not knowing kunjs birthdate...
Kunj sensed the tension in the air and to divert twinkles attention Kunj...asked,,"twinkle muje pani dogi...?"
Twinkle got up... near the table beside the bed... poured water from jug and handed ut to kunj... still eyeing the nurse...
"13th April 1989"
Kunj replied..after having water...
Twinkle registered in her mind ... never she would forget his birthday...
"And whats your age??""nurse asked...
"Couldnt you calculate from his birthdate!!!" Twinkle replied with a winning grin..before Kunj could speak...
The nurse smacked herself mentally for her foolishness,,""that would be all thank you so much.. KUNJ..,,I hope you dont mind me calling you KuNj..!!."
"Not a problem...!!" Kunj replied with a polite smile...
That was it for twinkle... how dare she... but twinkle could do nothing about it... anything she would do ... Kunj would raise a question... and how innocent was he...
Couldnt he make out that those two were having eyes on him... he could lecture me all day about Yuvi not being right n all.. but what about him... twinkle groaned in frustration...
"Ab tumhe kya hua?""..kunj asked
"Muje kya hoga.. muje kuch ho sakta hai bhala..."
As the sedatives kicked in Kunj was fast asleep Twinkle informed about the situation to his mamu and promised to return home by evenning...
Ishaan and Juhi woke twinkle.. and Kunj up... by their entry... who were asleep... Kunj on the bed and twinkle sitting on stool taking the beds support...
"Chachu...Chachuuu!"
And they jumped on the bed... twinkle git worried that they would hurt kunj... but seeing kunjs face full of joy she left them by themselves... she left... when Kunj got discharged with the kids...and reached home...
She needed a showr badly... after the shower she found her mobile switched of as the battery was dead.. she pluged in the charger... and as the light came on she received a message...

"THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE TODAY, :-)"...

A smile spread across her lips as she read the message and the senders name...

It was dinner time... no body spoke a word .. Leela... was as angry as yesterday and twinkle tried to gulp down some bites and fumbled with her spoon... Pinny and bubbly got up... and left for their rooms... twinkle mustered some courage to speak up...
"Maa..!"...
Leela got up and turndd to leave for her room..
Raman gave a reassuring look to twinkles fallen face...
She marched to her room she thought of calling Kunj but stopped as it would seem too needy.. and why would she call.. 'bcoz he is the one who is not well you stupid'..the voice inside her head spoke...
She thought he may be resting she should not disturb him...
After sometime she went to her mothers room to check on her if she was asleep..peacefully... when she reached the door she saw her talking with her mamu...
"Bhai saab ab kuch toa karna padega ... ye baate agar bahar fail gayi toa jante ho na aap log tarah tarah ki baate banayenge... aur vo Anita usko toa aap jante hi ho... vo ek mauka nhi chodegi hume nicha dikhane ka"
"Arey behna ek bar twinkle ki baat toa sun le ... kya pata yuvi sach me usse pyaar...""
"Mati mari gayi hai meri ki me use apna damaad banau... vo meri bachi ki zindagi barbaad kar dega... vo twinkle ka pyar nhi uska bachpana.. hai... aaj se 3 4 saal bad vo khud afsos karegi apne is pyar k drame ko...aur Yuvi ko me achi tarah se janti hu... na jane kitni ladkiyo ko ghumata firta hai vo... aur.. kal jab pata chala ki twinkle bhi un kaii lakdiyo mese ek hai... .""..she looked away in embarrasment...
"Behna Manohar Saab ne kaha hai na ki tu twinkle se ek bar baat kar le ...Kunj se shadi k liye..."..
"Ek taraf Kunj puttar hai jo meri bachi ko koi zabardasti nahi karna chahta shadi k liye... aur yaha Twinkle uski ankho se pyar ki jhuthi patii utar hi nhi rahi.,,me kal ek bar baat karungi usse ..ki usko karni hai ki nhi shadi bas uske bad usko jo karna hai kare... menu apne hath khade kar dene hai..."
"Chal shant ho ja ab... kal ki kal dekhenge..."

Next morning..
Twinkle woke up... and again she recalled last night... how much she thought oabout her mothers question... what would she say to her... she was not able to bring her mind to a conclusion... she rememberd Yuvi and felt ashamed of herself that she thought this guy would be her partner ... but then Kunj... no doubt their eyes talked to each other without any words but still... he disliked her and that she knew remembering number of times he told her... also there was alisha ... what if he is still in relation with alisha... he never mentioned that he loved her.. alisha was just some1 whom her badima wanted him to get married...and he named her as his gf... but she never saw any kind of feelings for alisha in his eyes... if alisha is still his gf... would he have an affair after marriage ... they both knew each dint want to get married to other... if he is forced by his family there is no way he was goin to give importance to her... and she would only be a show piece for the world... on the other hand she remembered all the times spent with her mother how she grew up... under her care... there was nothing in this world she couldnt do for the sake of her mothr... but here she had to give up her own self... and marry some1.. whom she dint know whether would keep a relation with her... or if he decides to have an affair..what if he tries to take advantage of me...after all I would his wife and ...he would have rights on me... how much she dreaded herself to think so low..about kunj...but... her mind was not allowing her to forget that nights events... . all the possible scenarios flashed...in front of her mind...
Her chain of thoughts were interrupted by Leela entering her room
She straightened up... and stood up...
"Twinkle menu tujhse ek gal karni hai"
"Ji Maa"
"Baith, ... pichle dino me jo kuch bhi hua... uske bad mere dimag me ek bat toa baith gayi hai ki... tu ab.. meri bachi nahi rahi jo.. me samja karti thi...
"Maa..app.,,"tears were about to fall..
"Sun le meri gal ek var...pehle...;,,tenu apni jindagi apni tarah jine ka pura hak hai...par sun le agar tune Yuvi jaise ladke ko apna jivan sathi chuna hai toa mere ghar me kadam mat rakhna ...aur ek baat... me akhri bar tujse puchne ayi hu...,,kya tu Kunj se shadi karne k liye razi hai?"
