|| Abhijeet Ki Khoj || *The Amazing Race Contest Entry*

(Abhijeet and Daya are in a car. Abhijeet is driving & Daya is with him.)

Abhijeet : Yaar Daya! Kitna achha din hai na! Na case, na kuch! Aise din roj roj aane chahiye. Chalo hame aaj picnic jaane ka mauka to mila.
Daya : Boss, yahi to maja hai bachelor's life ka. Koi tension nahi, kuch nahi. No rok-tok.
Abhijeet : Sahi kaha tumne.
Daya : Vaise Dr. Tarika ko bataya ki nahi tumne?
Abhijeet : Nahi yaar Daya! Jab shadi ho jayegi tab to saare jawaab dene padenge. At least, ab to aajaad rahne do.
Daya : Tum vakai Dr. Tarika se shadi karne wale ho? Itna pyar karte ho usse?
Abhijeet : *pauses for a moment* Yaar pyar to karta hi hu yar. Vaise bhi hame kaha wo filmy hero jaisa pyar hoga? Tarika achi hai , hamare profession ki hai , achi life jayegi uske sath.
Daya : Hmmm!

(The car goes past a shopping mall & suddenly Abhijeet notices something.)
(He suddenly stops the car. His head starts aching.)

Daya : Abhijeet , kya hua ? Kya hua, Abhijeet?
Abhijeet : Daya...Daya, tum mujhe ghar le chalo. Meri...Meri tabiyat kuch thik nahi lag rahi hai.
Daya : Doctor ke pas le chalta hu pahle ,chalo!
Abhijeet : Arre nahi Daya! Rest karunga to thik ho jaunga.

(Daya takes him to his house.)

Abhijeet : Daya , Ab mujhe kafi thik lag raha hai. Tum ab jana chahte ho to jaa sakte ho.
Daya : Bilkul nahi. Tumhare bagair mai kaise jau?
Abhijeet : Arre, main thik hu.
Daya : Dekho Abhijeet, main kuch nahi sununga. Par phir bhi tumhe abhi aaram ki jarurat hai. Tum aaram karo. Main baad me aata hu , tab baki baate karenge.

(When Daya leaves, Abhijeet suddenly recollects what he had seen &
why he suddenly got disturbed. But he still finds it hard to believe. He saw a girl beside the mall while driving and...)

(Flashback : College )
(Abhijeet & a beautiful girl Pooja are there in one of the college's rooms.)

Pooja : Abhijeet , college khatm ho raha hai . Ham dono ek dusre se pyar karte hai . To ham shadi kyu nahi kar rahe?
Abhijeet : Maine kaha na , mai life jina chahta hu. Life ko aage badhana chahta hu. Aage padhna chahta hu aur jindagi me kuch aage banna chahta hu.
Pooja : To ye sab bate tum shadi ke bad bhi kar sakte ho. Mere parents ab meri shadi ke piche pad gaye hai . Wo itni der nahi rukenge!
Abhijeet : Sorry, fir mai usme kuch nahi kar sakta. Mai bahut practical hu. Life me mujhe jo karna hai wo achieve karna chahta hu. Mere liye ek relationship se jyada important career hai. Aur mujhe lagta hai ki shadi ke chakkar me mai khud ko kaid kar lunga. Ye mai nahi chahta. I am really very sorry!

(Flashback ends)

Abhijeet: Ye maine kya kar diya tha? Bahut badi galti kar di thi maine.

(Next day, Abhijeet & Daya are again out for some shopping & spending the day leisurely. And suddenly, Abhijeet stops by seeing a girl. She is the same girl Pooja whom Abhijeet had seen in the flashback yesterday. He didn't know what to do. But the girl herself came to him. )

Pooja : Arre Abhijeet ! What a pleasant surprise! Pehchana mujhe?

(Abhijeet goes nervous. Daya shockingly looking at both.)

Abhijeet : Aap kaun hai? Mai aapko nahi pehchanta. Excuse me!

(And he goes ahead. Daya joins him.)

Daya : Abhijeet , kya hua ? Kaun thi wo ladki?
Abhijeet : Hogi yar koi. Mujhe nahi pata. Chalo chodo ! Ab kaha jana hai?
Daya : Acha hua , yad aaya. Kal X-mas party arrange ki hai maine ! Hamari sari team aa rahi hai . Tum bhi aagoge na ?
Abhijeet : Yar, ye bhi koi puchne ki bat hai?! Mai jaroor aaunga .

(Daya thinks in his mind that the girl herself came to him and even knew his name. Abhijeet therefore must know her too. But why did he not answer her? Only way to know it is to make them meet again. I need to do something for it. There's something too deep or else Abhijeet doesn't hide anything from me.)

(Next day, Daya brings Abhijeet to the party place. When Abhijeet reaches there, he sees only a girl is there. He goes to her and discovers that she is the same girl he met yesterday, i.e., Pooja!)

Abhijeet : D... Daya ... Ye kya ? Kya hai ye?
Daya : Boss , ye party actually maine sirf tum dono ke liye arrange ki thi.
Abhijeet : Par tume to kaha tha hamari team ke liye hai?
Daya : Yar, wo majburan mujhe tumse jhoot bolna pada. Mai chahta hu ki tum ab purani bate bhulkar vapas dosti kar lo. Pooja bhi wahi chahti hai . Chalo mai nikalta hu. Tum dono enjoy karo .
Abhijeet : K..Kau..Kaun si puraani baate?
Daya : Abhijeet, jab tum jhoot bolte ho na tab tum ruk-ruk ke bolne lagte ho.

(Abhijeet becomes tensed but soon he recovers.)

Abhijeet : Tumhe wo sab kaise pata chala?
Pooja : Maine bataya.
Daya : Ab main CID member hu, Boss. Jab ghee seedhi ungli se na nikle, to ungli tedhi karni padti hai.
Abhijeet : Are l... lekin ... Dayaaa are Dayaaa.

(Daya quickly leaves.)

Abhijeet : Ye daya bhi na .. hehe ... Aa.. Ba.. baithiye na.
Pooja : I think ab to tumne mujhe pehchan liya hoga.
Abhijeet : Haan. Of course ! Mai mai .. waha pe pahchan hi gaya tha. Par... Look Pooja am very sorry.
Pooja : Mai samajh sakti hu abhijeet. Chodo ye sab bate. Aur batao kaisa chal raha hai sab?
Abhijeet : Meri jindagi to chal rahi hai, as usual . CID inspector hu . Criminals ko pakadta hu. Samaj aur desh ke liye kam karta hu. Ek alag sukun milta hai!
Pooja : Wow! It's great.

(Pooja takes a dish.)

Abhijeet : Are tumhe onion pasand nahi hai, na? Isme jyada onion hai. Tum wo dish try karo. Bahut tasty hai!
Pooja : Abhijeet, tumhe ab tak yad hai ?

(Abhijeet just smiles.)

Pooja : Abhijeet . tumhari koi girlfriend bani itne salo me?
Abhijeet : Ae .. hehe ... Nahi ... Nahi ... Bilkul nahi. Acha , tumhare bare me bhi to batao. Kaisi chal rahi hai life ?
Pooja : Are bataungi. Par pahle ye batao, hamare college me kabhi gaye bad me? Hamare college ke baki dost milte hai ya nahi?
Abhijeet : Pooja , ermm...maine ek bat tumse chupayi hai .
Pooja : Kya?
Abhijeet : Mai jab police me tha to ek mission ke dauran mere sar pe ek bhari chot aayi thi. Uske vajah se mai apni yaddasht puri tarah se kho baitha hu. Aaj bhi mujhe us accident ke pahle ki life ke bare me kuch yad nahi !
Pooja : Par... par... ye kaise possible hai ? Fir tum mujhe ... mujhe ...
Abhijeet : Wo kal jab mai tumse mila tha, uske kuch der pehle hi mujhe tumse judi baate yaad aai thi... Ab wo sab chhodo. Let's enjoy the party! Let's dance ... Yahooo!!!!

(Both enjoy X-mas party till late night.)

(After that, their friendship got deeper. They start sharing their feelings with one another. Abhijeet started feeling something more than friendship for her. He was confused as to what to do.)

(After some days, Abhijeet again meets Daya. But this time he wanted to talk with him something very important.)

Abhijeet : Daya , Mai tumse kuch jaroori bat karna chahta hu .
Daya : Ha , bolo na boss.
Abhijeet : Yaha Nahi... Chalo ham us restaurant me chalke baate karte hain.

(They go to a restaurant.)

Abhijeet : Yar , ab maine soch liya hai. Mai is bachelor life ka end karna chahta hu. Soch raha hu shadi kar lu.
Daya : Bhai waah. Aakhir shadi karne hi wale ho. Kya bat hai! Lekin ye to batao kiske sath?
Abhijeet : Yar , Pooja .
Daya : *keeps silent for a minute and...* Hmm. Mujhe laga hi tha ki tum dono me kuch bahut gahra rishta raha hoga. Isiliye us din maine tum donoko milaya. Par tumne sab kuch soch to liya hai na? And what about Dr.Tarika?
Abhijeet : Yar Tarika ek achi ladki hai yar. Uske sath majak masti me time kaise jata hai pata hi nahi chalta. Par pooja ki bat hi kuch aur hai . Agar ham serious bhi bate karte hai to bhi ek man ko jo sukun milta hai wo bat tarikaji ke sath nahi hoti . Mai sab kuch bhul gaya tha meri pichli life ke bare me! Sirf Pooja yad rahi! Ab iska matlab to tum samajh hi sakte ho. Tarika ko mujhse bhi acha koi aur ladka milega.
Daya : Ok, Abhijeet . Tumne agar soch hi liya hai to ab samay mat barbad karo. Use propose kar do.
Abhijeet : Ha Daya. Maine aaj use Marine Drive pe bulaya hai. Mai wahi use propose karunga. Aur wo bhi mujhse kuch kehna chahti hai.
Daya : Wow! Tab to aur bhi achi baat hai. All the very best!

(And that evening, Abhijeet and Pooja meet at the Marine Drive.)

Abhijeet : Pooja , mujhe tumse kuch kahna hai.
Pooja : Abhijeet , mai bhi tumse kuch kehna chahti hu .
Abhijeet : Thik hai, fir. Pehle tum hi kaho. Ladies first.
Pooja : Meri shadi tay ho chuki hai. I have a boyfriend. Samir hai uska nam.

(Abhijeet gets in shock for sometimes but quickly recovers.)

Abhijeet : Wah ! Ye to badi achi bat hai !

Pooja : Hmm . Samir bahut acha ladka hai . Mujhse bahut pyar karta hai . Actor hai wo . Jab usne mujhe propose kiya to maine use pucha ki kya itni jaldi shadi karne se tumhare career par asar to nahi hoga? Tum to actor ho ! Tab wo bola koi bat nahi par ab agar ruk jau to pata nahi tumhe kab pa paunga vapas! Agar koi problem aayi to sath me handle karenge. Tum mere liye bandhan nahi , meri prerana banogi . Kitna acha ladka hai !

(There was a deep silence for some time. And then...)

Pooja : Acha , tum kya kehna chahte the?
Abhijeet : Mai to wo ... wo... Ha meri bhi ek girlfriend hai.
Pooja : Are vaah ! kaisi hai? Aur Kaun Hai?
Abhijeet : Vo mai leke aaunga na milwane ko. Acha , Ab mujhe bureau jana padega. Kam yad aa gaya hai!
Pooja : Accha...Thik Hai. Waise mujhe tumse aur baate karne thi but kaam pehle aata hai.

(They both again part. Abhijeet was heartbroken. In the bureau...)

Daya : Aur abhijeet , batao kya hua ? Ha kar di, na, usne?

(Abhijeet doesn't reply. Daya gives a puzzled look. Suddenly, Abhijeet notices Nikhil is sitting alone.)

Abhijeet : *in a deep voice* Kya hua, Nikhil? Kya soch rahe ho?
Nikhil : Meri girlfriend ne mujhe propose kiya hai, sir. Usi ke bare me soch raha hu.
Abhijeet : Kya tum usse pyar karte ho?
Nikhil : *Shyly* Haan!
Abhijeet : To fir to bahut achi bat hai! Ha kar do na! Kya soch rahe ho?
Nikhil : Sir , abhi abhi to mera career start hua hai. Abhi bahut aage jana hai. Aise me ye bandhan kya mujhe qaid nahi karega?
Abhijeet : Dekho Nikhil, meri salah mano to accept kar lo. *Remembers Pooja's words* Aur bandhan nahi, prerana samajh ke socho use. Ek bar agar kho diya use to fir bad me bahut taklif hoti hai.

(Abhijeet hides his face. Now Daya understands the whole thing. He goes near him & put his hands on Abhijeet's shoulder. He looks at Daya. Daya gives an understanding look.)

but somehow in this story i felt Abhijeet too practical and selfish kinda person!!😒

he decided to marry Tarika but after Pooja's coming back his emotions for her rose again and he decided to marry Pooja..

i loved the regret part more.😳 the way he made Nikhil understood, loved that.

Here Abhijeet is not selfish. But he was little career oriented at that time . And in Tarika case , well he loves her for sure. But after meeting Pooja , his memory got refreshed & he remembered all the things he did. He even regrets what he did with Pooja . And he don't want to do it again . He loves Tarika , but his soul is filled by Pooja. That's why he still remembers her even after forgetting everything . That he realized . That's why we titled it Abhijeet ki Khoj . It's rather his search for his inner self 😊
