Sudhanshu Pandey will be returning to mainstream television with 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat'. He will be playing the role of 'Keechaka', who will be a tyrant. With the story moving from Magadh to Taxila, his character will be introduced.

Pandey confirmed the news and told us, "I have been offered period dramas in the past but I refused them. The treatment given to this show and the quality of the show is much better than other shows on TV. What I liked about this character is that he is out and out negative. I have played negative characters down south but I have never played a ruthless and a menacing character on TV. This is a first for me." For now, Sudhanshu's character will be seen on the show for two months and basis the ratings, the future course of the character will be decided.

Meanwhile, we have also heard that Amit Behl, who was essaying the role of 'Amatya Rakshasa', will also be returning to the show. Behl told us, "My character made a grand entry in February and according to history, he was betrayed by 'Chanakya' and he wants to seek revenge from the latter. However, then I got to know that since I was looking younger than Manoj Joshi ji (who played Chanakya), my character was shown going to the gallows. Now with Chanakya's death, my character will be returning to the show."
