Today from both Ram and Sita we got life lessons. The princess asks the king Janak he himself had told nobody can rule earth, but how is he telling Mithila is under him. Sometimes, some questions from the children open our eyes unexpectedly.
Someone asked Sita questioning in Sabha was overdone. But we need to understand the princess of Mithila questioned what the king told and what the king was acting. She wanted his words and actions to be in sync. Else she needed a justification why they are different. Because if king is not corrected at the right time, justice wont be correct.
Many times parents scold the children for asking such unwarranted questions. They try to evade the questions or scold the child. But Raja Janak true to his nature instead of getting embarrased by the question admitted to the sabha that his daughter with one question has opened his eyes. And he brings his action in sync with his words. Instead of telling Sudharma to put out of the kingdom under him, he gives the punishment of making Sudharma a common man in his so called kingdom. Owning up things shows your greatness, doesnt belittle you, it raises respect and increases trust in your actions.

Second was Ram. The caste power equations still doesnt matter to this young man. What he remembers is the help Bhadra the Dhobi had given him and his brothers in childhood. Bhadra forgets and Ram rightly says it is not the person who gave help should remember, it is the person who received help should remember. How true and how many of us do it. How many of us tell the word Thank you. How many of us remember those people who have made us what we are today. That could be the maid in your home, who might have braided your hair. The next door shopkeeper who kept your favourite book aside for you till you came so that it doesnt go out of stock. Those lab assistants who might have helped you in exams. And numerous other such people who have played a role in carving out your identity. How do you behave when you see them. Do you atleast smile at them or you feel they dont suit your present status. Remember the way you came. If more people can remember that, this world will be a better place. But the problem is we remember the help given, we remember the wounds given, we allow our ego to rule us. Erase those things and start remembering the help you got. Learn to say Thank you. You will get much more inner peace.

Chennai is flooded. Try to help the victims in your own way. We never know when we face situations like the one Chennai faced. If one hand has to come towards us, extend a hand today for them.

๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ˜Š Reading this brought a smile on my face..
Everything you wrote is fully true.. you should always remember who helped
you and don't hesitate to show gratitude because many a times we feel the gratitude
but due to some reason hesitate to show it.
Its a good way of teaching these small but very important lessons of life through each
episode.
Thank you.. for writing this ๐Ÿ˜Š
