I don't read her airay geray writers ki novels and I have heard her name a lot but I haven't personally read any work of hers. This tragic endings wali baat I read somewhere by a reader tou warn kar diya :P
Besides, the dramas you and Ash mentioned are not based her on novels. I guess Ranjish Hi Sahi, Mere Meherbaan, Meri Laadli are all original scripts. The dramas based on her books are Jo Chalay Tou Jaan se Guzar Gaye and Main Chaand Si (it's her work, right?) and wese tou I haven't watched these two shows but I think inki sad ending thi.
