"Sapna wo nahi jo aap sote hue dekhe, sapna toh woh hai jo aapko kabhi sone na de"

Very famous lines from a very respected president of ours but this is about a boy who personifies and lives those from a tender age of 9!

Born in a modest family struggling to meet ends, stark realities and hardships of life were no stranger to this kid, however there was something special about this boy-he was born with the skills that would not only catapulted him out of this mundane existence but will provide him with the opportunity to set an example for all those millions to believe and stand by their dreams, work towards it and make it happen...life is not about waiting for opportunities or moaning about lost chances...but it's about knocking every door that will help you achieve your goals...if one is closed another will open and this boy did exactly that...at the age when he should have been playing and fooling around with his friends unmindful of struggles, adversities and destitutions armed with his special skills and buoyed  by support of his dear ones he took his first steps towards the gates that will shape his dreams to reality.

So the first gate to open widely for him was DID Lil Master - beating thousands of aspiring contestants he made his way to the top 100-the first ever camera appearance was of a very charming, cute and adorable boy who spoke his heart out...
"Superwings ka toh pata nahi but dance toh main faadu karne wala hu...

- those words from a 13 year old who just had one objective - do your best and utilise the opportunity to maximum - there was no hesitation, no nervousness, no shuddering, no awkwardness in facing the camera for the first time - just confidence and trust in his abilities and focus on the goal, you could just see that this was a star in the making - writing was on the wall from that moment on.

The journey from 100 to 16 and then to final 10 to last remaining 4 was full of ups and down where he faced threat of elimination to high of standing ovations...there was nothing that this boy couldn't do from waltz to tango to robotics to aerial to classical to freestyle you name it and he did it with utmost sincerity and amazing perfection...he was up against some very good dancing talents-India's best I think but he never let himself down, there were times where things didn't go as per plan and he had his ultimatums - and those ultimatums would always trigger something extraordinary, something wonderful, something unforgettable remember..."haal-e-dil"  every time you watch it there is this warm tugging in the heart taking you to a wonderfully magical land that you don't want to come out of ever...anytime & every time negative remarks on his performance  pushed him to emerge better, stronger, purposeful, resolute and more determined - a quality that separates gem from the stones - This was the season where maximum votes were collected and no it was not his sob story that made people vote for him, nor his struggle and hardships to reach to that stage but his ability to be a role model for thousands & millions  of youngsters aspiring to live their dream - saw realisation of those dreams through him - this cute, adorable, wide-eyed and talented boy had managed to walk straight into their hearts - Nothing could stop him and nothing DID- the trophy was his from the day he had walked in through those gates with dancing shoes on!!

DID win did wonders for this lil boy -paving the way for his acting career- the opportunity to play younger Pratap in a historical show came knocking next...completely uncharted territory but he had little hesitation-this was the opportunity that would only enhance his chances in shaping those dreams a bit further - so he entered bit hesitant, bit shaky to begin with working on his diction, taking lessons in horse riding, working hard to understand and portray a historical character to best of his abilities...he found his footings soon enough, being a quick learner and having panchaat    for perfection he was soon matching up to all seasoned actors and after a while left them way behind...This character brought him his first taste of stardom -  poor boy was ill prepared for screaming and adoring pankhas everywhere he went, but taking things in his stride and quickly adapting to the surroundings have always been his forte - still surprised how he remained so humble, polite, unassuming and modest after all that adulations, admiration, praise and adorations - he was the perfect Pratap the show could ever have for many of us the show ended when it took the leap-the way he got into the skin of that character it was impossible to think anyone else as Pratap- another feather in his cap-and it doesn't end here this role brought him his first award in acting "Best Child Artist" -ITA and lot of recognition within the TV industry-his Pratap was one of the top 5 most admired characters of TV shows in 2014

And of course the stint in Maharana Pratap was enough to earn him star status along with place is top 100 powerful TV celebrity -how could Jhalak remain far behind, so on to the next big step where the dreams and shapes were cemented with beautiful and vibrant colours.

Start was bit rusty at best - having played Pratap for over a year dancing had taken a back seat plus there was this restrain around pre-conceived notions of how a child should be restricted to certain dance forms only- doesn't matter if this very child ruled hearts and minds of millions of audiences by his portrayal of this softer, romantic, dreamy, passionate, besotted majnu in love...Ahhh we will never ever get over that fiercely competitive yet unreservedly and unconditionally devoted Pratap!

HIS BRILLIANT JOURNEY AND SOME GREAT PERFORMANCES

Badtameez Dil

The performance was filled with peppy, funky beats and steps..it was a big party! After the intense start with Jee Karda, Faisal and Vaishnavi had started working better on the sync issues, which had started to reduce dramatically and they seemed to be the perfect foil on stage..it wasnt the most memorable choreography coming from Vivek and the risque innovative choreography from him was yet to begin, but Faisal was definitely improving on his footwork and getting back to his form with energy and magnetic presence..and ofcourse proving his class with expressions.

The PK act - Tattad Tattad

The concept of motion was given to the contestants for Week 3 and while everyone chose certain props to display the same, Vivek chose to evaluate it in the form of "motion in dance"..Faisal and Vaishnavi were dressed up as PK and Jagat Janani and the song and the steps were interestingly balanced around the tempo of the song, making it a kabhi fast, kabhi slow motion dance form..where there were backflips, cartwheels and FFed X2 steps.

Performance with Siddharth

Things looked back on track as soon as he bagged perfect marks and performer of the week tag..he got a chance to get the talented kid, siddharth to perform with him..that was a news that came as a happy surprise wrapped with glittery fear for the fans...but the two were super excited with the chance...with siddharth being busy with his tight schedule, faisal visited him for the practice...the performance came...a tribute to shahid kapoor with aerobics theme...the performance was full of energy, enthusiasm..mesmerizing flip flops...the two put in all their stamina into the act...but things didn't turned out as planned..in chaos of bursting out themselves in the performance, blowing all their energy into the flips, the coordination got messed up...they lost the sync at many times during their performance and this turned out against them...the act didn't got well with the judges, they pointed out the faults which left him disappointed...The performance much awaited, anticipated had a fall..not only he scored lowest, but for the first time, landed at the danger zone..Much to the shock to everyone. And himself..something totally unexpected.

Laavni Act

When viewers were busy mourning on him coming in the danger zone, he was busy fighting with himself sitting on the couch...the disappointment, the fear of failing the battle surrounding him...his nervousness was clearly visible on his , now pale face...his name was called out...called out to fight for his stay...everything froze...hearts started palpitating, fingers getting crossed...the performance started...a lady was there, in the lavni costume, with her face covered with her costume, standing with back at us..breathless moment..buta as soon as the girl turned to uncover her face, everyone was left dumbstruck...the wonderboy was here, but it wasn't him..that nervousness, fear was nowhere...his face was filled with enthusiasm and mischievousness glittering his eyes...he went on to perform one of the best role disguise performance ever...bringing out all the essence of a laavni and laavni dancer , with his desi moves, latke jhate, naughty expressions, killer postures and finger in his lips...a full on paisal wassol entertainer performance, forcing everyone to jump with applause...the guy came over victorious in a shining Armour..adopting the state dance of Maharashtra, laavni, doing a gorgeous desi laavni dancer, he managed to spring back again to the top...his awesome performance and disguise forced the judges to shake up leg with him on the stage...with the performance to save himself from loosing the battle, he conquered his first immunity ball.
Fire and Ice

The three wonders, ever ready to challenge themselves, yet again bring forth another breathtaking concept...the story of fire and ice..both being there from the time immemorial but could never rejoice with each other...feeling the pang of separation...with faisal as fire and vaishnavi as ice, they again entered the stage to leave us spellbound...perfectly personifying the two elements, the two kids brought of the intensity of their tragic story...the desire to meet each other but forced to stay away being well aware what their union will cause...the backbone of the performance was the concept, but it would have not been this effective if it wasn't the two kids's portrayal...their expressions won the performance right away...the intensity, the pain, the helplessness depicted beautifully equally by their expressions and their moves..some perfect lifts and a clock on the floor added four moons to their act...the curtains were down with both showing the union atlast and disappearing behind fog marking the end of the story...a heart touching performance comes to an end with the kids shining once again.

Main hoon hero tera

When the teaser of this performance started floating around, golden memories were refreshed and how! The Cap, the lyrical hip hop and the endearing charming Faisal..it was like rewind back to his DID days and the first audition, where he floored everyone with the same concept..and faisal pulled out the ace card..and Vaishnavi provided the most able support with the perfect finger tutting balanced around faisal's smooth, flowing magical performance..This one actually falls short on words..it goes down as, if not the best, one the best performances of Season 8 in totality..!
and since I cant explain - here is a specimen, how to get the timing, the moves, the balance and the hold on performance just RIGHT! Played to perfection - and there WE GO-

Gabbar aa jayega

I think this was the act that I had a lot of expectations from- a semo-final act with finale tickets in hands - It had everything some fantastic flips, right amount of energy and amazing starting prop-where one was inverted over other but somehow I had a feeling that something was off that day perhaps in their enthusiasm they went little out of sync-or may be presence of his Geeta Ma pumped in lot of iron that the sync went slightly off but still much better than any of the act performed that day-when compared to his previous week's act this felt slightly lower and after all he can be compared to only Faseela right??

Maa Act

Those who know faisal, need no introduction to his love for his parents...for his mother...the trio came up reflecting each kid's love for their mother, paying a tribute to the messenger of god protecting us forever...a contemporary in the prop theme week with their prop - a cloth...faisal is known as king of props...when he dances, his prop too follows him as if a spell have blown life into it...the prop looks the servant following each and every instruction of his master..here too, the cloth became their slave...perfect sync among the three...a breathtaking lift- with vaishnavi throwing up the cloth, jumping into his arms and the cloth landing in her hands...another remarkable move - faisal slided vaishnavi away crossing between his legs with the help of the cloth...the performance brought out many beautiful moments...the two searching like lost on the floor , spotlights on them, searching for the motherly affection...the larger than life act, beautifully accompanied with the soulful song chunar,  wrapped up with the two imprinting the word MAA on the floor with the cloth and both lying beside it feeling the affection , glowing with smile, taking u back to ur childhood...the mesmerizing, innocent performance left every mother touched, teary eyed...and he indeed made his mother, witnessing this, more proud of him.

Chote Chote shero se

This week was dedicated to Bollywood and the theme was interpreted very innovatively and creatively by Vivek and his team- full marks for such a brilliant, never seen before concept- We watched in awe the precision, the balance, the manoeuvring between smallest of spaces with nimble and agile footwork, the ease and perfection of hand eye co-ordination - This was larger than life show ekdum Bollywood istyle- Unlike judges I had no complaints whatsoever about  incorporation of simple dance steps as any complicated and intricate body movements would have affected those tricky camera angles- A unique concept brilliantly brought alive - excellent step towards right direction - one step closer to that coveted trophy

Rockstar

This was a super duper concept and beautifully co-ordinated by all the participant it was a splendid visual treat, pleasing to the eye very tastefully executed.
Start was so aesthetic as if a peacock with all its feathers closely hugged awakening to a beautiful and enchanting reverberation of the mystical chants - then it slowly comes out of that slumber opening the feathers one at a time ready to face another day!
Loved  transition from a closed bud like position to an outstretch full blooming flower in matter of seconds ... of course just like A R Rahman's rhythm the beauty of the canvas gently starts transforming into splendid  hue of vibrant colours coming together to form breath taking spectacle ...be it the perfectly timed dive towards the sky or earth...never was a moment in the entire act that you felt these kids were not floating/gliding through the air...kudos to the entire team for bringing on our screen something so different and unique...it was just awesome!

Classical fusion on Muqabla

For anyone who has followed faisal, its a known fact that he is zero formal training and comfort with classical performances..it was as we say, his weak spot! and while we waited with bated breath to see WILL he overcome his greatest challenge, will he prove the detracting factors wrong..WILL he live up to the moment! AND BOY HE DID! the postures, the co-ordination, the grace, the vitality factor, the sharpness and finesse in getting the classical form right! Faisal nailed it in totality, while the subtle spiritual pure implied romance flowed and explored in, reminding many of Radha-Krishna's divine essence! He had overcome his own shortcomings - the Biggest WIN! and Il go as far to say, the most memorable performance from faisal this season..for a whole lot of reasons!

With Akshat

It was time for vivek and vaishnavi to re-unite with their old partner and faisal to welcome a new friend in the journey, when the lovable kiddo akshat joined the three under the theme of teen ka tadka...the kiddo known for his energy and craziness, easily got fit with the team...and they rolled out an entertainer and a crazy act...reviving the famous "mere karan arjun ayenge" the team took us on a laughter riot...representing modern era's karan arjun, two crazy kids coming to wish their old mother a "happy budday to you" juggling her off here and there...and the mother was no where behind, breaking her age norms and doing whacking...a beautiful coordination was scene, unexpected, when fiasal picked up vaishnavi...oops...arjun picked up his mother and slided her over the back of karan...slow start picking up the next moment and ending with a bang on energy blast, the performance did got everyone on their toes...high on energy and fun, the three totally enjoyed themselves...no restrictions stopping them this time and living their performance to the fullest...the superb collaboration ended up gifting us one of the most entertaining act of jhalak 's history.

Naina thag lege

Was intrigued when the promo was shown aerial and that too blindfolded- well it cannot get more risky but at the same time more exciting than this- but when it came to actual act it was the floor work that left you wanting more what a perfect synchronisation...never a single move that will allow your eyes to blink...you had to stare completely in awe and clap for three individuals transforming your screen to a colourful canvas with beautiful pattern emerging every second - something that was perfect entry point for the grand finale.

Whatever Faisal has achieved in jhalak, his victory would have beeen impossible without his awesome companions...The wonder girl,  super talented vaishnavi and the genius dreamer -vivek..throughout the journey, with God and parents blessing, these two stood as his backbone..his pillars'

Faisal performances would have been incomplete without the constant support of vaishnavi..she stood straight with him till date..initially they were reported not being in sync, but with time she shined herself and came on par with Faisal...

But the guy who deserves most appreciation is vivek..the mind which left us dumbstruck each week his his breathtaking innovative ideas and outstanding choreography..this guy is the real gem and among the best choreographers of the world..with his potential, yes he made all of us a fan..

So this is not Faisal 's victory..but the victory of the three.
The outstanding dancers and the genius mind.
Hats off guys...thank u very much for such a beautiful journey and everlasting memories!

OUR PEOPLE MADE SOME BEAUTIFUL THINGS JUST FOR FAISAL <3

No reality show has ever made me feel so rhapsodic as I do right now. I know, Faisal fans were themselves not expecting this result despite voting for him like crazy especially in the last leg of the competition, but let me be honest and I mean every bit of it when I say that in the deepest corners of my heart, I JUST KNEW Faisal would win. And BANG! HE DOES!

I still recall that vote appeal of his where he said that he knew that no child celeb has ever won the title, but he WANTS to be victorious and win that trophy, "Vo trophy...jeetni hai mujhe..."
That YEARNING, that burning fortitude & diligence in his eyes to break all stereotypes of a trained/child celeb not winning was so evident throughout his journey on JDJ!

In the finals, he gave it his ALL. He played with his full deck and hit the nail exactly on its head. Couldn't have expected anything better...
