Hi, thank you everyone for liking this fic as I love writing it. Another bond I love in Diyar-E-Dil is the bond between Wali and Zarminay as well as Farah and Zarminay, so these are bonds that will have heavy focuses in this story.

Chapter Two: True Family
Wali was pacing outside the emergency room back and forth while Ruhi sat with her head in her hands. Both had been waiting for an hour but no news on Farah had been given yet. Suddenly, Wali's phone began ringing. Wali glanced down, seeing Zarminay on caller ID. Hesitating only slightly, he answered the phone.
"Hello?" Wali said, willing his voice not to shake.
"Lala, aap kahan hai? Farah kahan hai? Agha Jaan ko ghabrahat ho rahi Farah ke bare main, duaein maang rahe hain ke Allah tala Farah ko apna hifzohaman mein rakhe," (Big brother, where are you? Where is Farah? Agha Jaan is feeling uneasy about Farah and keeps praying that Allah keeps her under his protection) Zarminay's voice sounded frantic and worried.
Wali let out a shaky breath, hearing Zarminay so worried and the fact that Agha Jaan could sense something. "S-sab theekh hai Zarminay." (E-everything is fine Zarminay) He couldn't afford to worry his baby sister. Farah would be fine.
"Sab theekh nahi hai, Lala. Please, aap kuch toh bataye," (Everything is not okay, big brother. Please, tell me something) Zarminay pleaded.
Wali shivered a little. "Main bahut bura hoon Zarminay. Apne bare baba ki ladli beti ki hifazat nahi kar paya." (I'm a very bad person, Zarminay. I wasn't able to protect my uncle's most precious daughter.)
"Lala..." (Big brother...) Zarminay began but didn't interrupt as Wali wasn't finished yet.
"Moeez ne Farah ko kidnap kar liya tha," (Moeez kidnapped Farah.) Wali finally admitted, voice choked and tears running down his cheeks. There was a sharp intake of breath on the other side.
"Kya? Kaisi hai woh? Farah teekh toh hai Lala?" (What? How is she? Farah is alright, right big brother?) Zarminay's voice was choking up and Wali winced, wondering how she was going to take the next piece of information.
"Zarminay, Moeez ne Farah ki..." (Zarminay, Moeez has...) Wali couldn't say it, not even to his baby sister but he didn't need to because she understood, beginning to cry.
Just then, Dr. Saman came out of the emergency room.
"Lala..." (Big brother...) Zarminay was in tears and Wali wiped away his own tears.
"Zarminay, abhi tum ghar mein kuch mat batana, main tumse thori deyr tak baat karta hoon, doctor saab agaye hain," (Zarminay, don't mention anything at home yet, I will call you in a bit as Dr. Saman is here right now) Wali's tone became more serious as he saw Dr. Saman.
"Acha theek hai Lala, please mujhe call kardi je ga," (Okay big brother, please do call me) Zarminay said.
Wali hung up, hurrying over to see what Dr. Saman was saying. "Kya hua?" (What happened?)
"Patient mein baut khoon ki kami hai, khoon chahiye hoga aur kuch signatures bhi," (Patient has suffered from severe blood loss, she will need blood and we will need some signatures) Dr. Saman explained.
"Farah ka blood group kya hai Tayee-Ammi?" (What is Farah's blood group, Aunty?) Wali asked, turning to Ruhi quickly.
"AB Positive hai Behroz ki tara lekhin..." (It's AB Positive like Behroz but...) Ruhi said frowning a little bit. "Signatures kaise chahiyein?" (What type of signatures do you need?)
"Bachi ke baap ya shauhar ke signatures chahiyein kyun ke bachi ki jaan ko hatra hai, maghar hum poori kaushish karein ge," (We need signatures from the girl's father or husband because the girl's life is at risk, although we will do our very best to save her) Dr. Saman explained gently and Wali felt as if his heart has stopped and Ruhi began crying.
"Khoon ka bandubast ho jayega," (The blood will be arranged) Wali managed to say, voice cracking. "Aur..." (And...) He glanced hesitantly at Ruhi who gave him a nod before turning back to Dr. Saman. "Main uska shauhar hoon, kahan sign karna hai? Aaap...please...bas uski jaan bachalein." (I am her husband, where do I need to sign? You just...please save her life.)
Dr. Saman simply nodded, handing some papers to Wali, with a pen clipped to the side. Wali read through it, before quickly giving his signature.
"Main khoon ka bandubast karta hoon," (I will arrange for the blood) Wali said to Dr. Saman.
"Ji aur rakhm bhi jama karadein, patient ko chota sa operation ki zaroorat hai," (Yes and please arrange for the money as the patient needs to have a small operation done) Dr. Saman also added.
Ruhi shifted. "Wali, main karza leke rakhm dedoon gi, main aur meri beti is kabil nahi hain ke tum humari maddat karo." (Wali, I will borrow a loan and make the payment, my daughter and I don't deserve you helping us.)
Wali placed a hand on Ruhi's shoulder, shaking his head. "Nahi, Tayee-Ammi, isme aap ka aur Farah ka koi kusoor nahi hai. Aur waise bhi maine bare-baba se vaada kiya tha ke unki beti ko hamesha khush rakhoon ga aur koi takleef nahi paunch ne doonga." (No, Aunty, you and Farah have no fault in this. And anyway I made a promise to Uncle that I will always keep his daughter happy and never cause her any pain.) His heart felt like it would stop right then as he thought of Behroz's words, thinking on how disappointed he must be with him. Wali had broken his promise. The pain Farah was in right now was something Wali didn't know if he could even heal it.
"P-please, Tayee-Ammi, itna haq toh dije," (Please, Aunty, at least give me that much right) Wali's voice choked up now a little bit and he looked away.
"Tumhe pura haq hai Farah pe, Wali, aghar tum yahaan na hote...toh main toh shaad mar jati Farah ko is halat mein dekh kar," (You have all right over Farah, Wali, if you weren't here with me...I might have died seeing Farah in this condition) Ruhi admitted, burying her head in Wali's chest beginning to cry as he hugged her again, trying to bring comfort. She and Farah were his responsibility, especially since the people they had trusted had betrayed them in the worst way possible.
"Nahi, Tayee-Ammi, aap yahan rukhein, main thori dehr mein saara bandubast kar deta hoon," (No, Aunty, you stay here, I will quickly go arrange everything) Wali assured and Ruhi managed a shaky nod.
It took a little bit but through some running around, Wali managed to arrange everything within forty five minutes to an hour and quickly got back. The waiting was nerve-wrecking but finally Dr. Saman came out.
"Mubarak ho, patient ko haush agaya hai," (Congratulations, the patient has gained consciousness) Dr. Saman said. Ruhi seemed so relieved that she broke down into tears. Wali hugged her, wiping a few stray tears from his own eyes.
"K-kya hum mil sakte hain usse?" (C-can we see her?) Wali asked.
"Aiye," (Come) Dr. Saman replied, leading them inside the room where Farah was resting. She had a bandage wrapped around her forehead and some on her hands and knees.
"Farah," Ruhi said, hurrying over and hugging her.
"Mama," Farah clutched at her mother, holding her as if her life depended on it. "Mama, aap ne mujhe kyun bachaya? Ghin arahi hai mujhe khudse, napaak ho gayi hoon main." (Mama, why did you save me? I feel disgusted in myself, I've become dirty)
"Aisa kuch nahi hai, Farah," (It's nothing like that, Farah) Wali finally spoke up, unable to see her blame herself for something that wasn't her fault. "Tumhare daman abhi bhi utna hi paak hai jitna pehle tha." (Your body is still as pure as it was before)
Farah moved away from her mother to look at Wali and the other had to flinch at the empty look in her eyes.
"Toh kya aapko main is haal main kubool hai? Banayein ge aap aik aisi ladki ko biwi jiski izzat khatam ho gayi ho?" (So am I acceptable to you in this condition? Will you make a girl whose lost her dignity your wife?) Farah's voice was dry, but she stared straight at Wali, not moving her gaze from him as she waited for his reply.
