PROLOGUE


"Hmm...new to the pub...?" Raman queried while sipping the soft drink standing near the bar counter and heard her saying a "not really" as reply.


"Well...I thought so because of..." He couldn't complete but she cut in saying, "My dress"


He smiled slyly and looked at her closely. A pretty normally dressed girl with a sword tongue. He defined her. The cyan anarkali which seemed out of place for most of the poeple felt out of the world for him. He couldn't help but initiate further talk with her.


"Your name?" He asked whilst drinking.


"Ishita...Ishita Iyer." She replied.


"Oh...Iyer...!" He rolled his eyes as if watching a museum piece.


"What happened?" She asked checking herself out to find if there is any problem.


"I...I mean...I...I thought Iyers are conservatives...Please don't get offended." He stated smiling cheekly.


"No...It's OK. Hmm...well...can I ask you out for the night Mr..." She asked casually.


Raman choked on the drink and completed, "Bhalla...Raman Kumar Bhalla..."


"Oh Mr Bhalla...If you don't mind...we can share the night..." She proposed.


"Well...yeah...it's...it's kinda...great...but...are you sure?" He asked not being able to believe that bold step from a nave and innocent looking girl.


"Of course sure..." She gave him her hand which he accepted gratefully. Mouthing "I got a girl" to Mihir, he walked out with her aiming his house.
