Chapter 9


Nandini's home
As her trance was broken by meera she called her down and after collecting all her clothes she moved down
Meera: are beta mai aapki kab s bula rhi hu kha reh gyi thi
Nandini nods nd shows her clothes she went to take frm terrence she kept these clothes nd comes to her
Meera: beta aap thik toh hai na
Nandini nodes assuring her she is fine
Meera: beta aapki woh wali painting puri jo aap pichle do din s bna rhi h meera asks her about painting so that her mood change as she was sad due to her condition
Nandini shows her hand as if asking her to wait nd goes to her room nd small smile curve her lips
[Nandini was a painter as meera was a primary teacher she earns well enough fr both if them but due to her worst condition nd medicines it wasn't sufficient so nandini helps her she use to paint nd sell her paintings to help her so that she don't have to compromise with her health nd painting was nandini's passion too]
Nandini comes holding a portrait covered with a cloth
Nandini removed d cloth frm painting nd meera was awestuck by d painting she made
It was a beautifull scenery she had made a small yet elegant house on hill beside a water fall where near d fall a girl nd boy were sitting nd girl's head was on boy's shoulder nd there hand entangled it was a beatiful scene to watch as if it was real nd not a painting
Meera praises her work she was out of words it was so beautiful she pats her shoulder nd ask how come she got n idea of something
As meera asked her she was lost in his thought where 4 days back she woke nd she show dis scene in her dread in fine that mrng nd she just portrait that dream into reality through her clours when meera shakes her nd brought her back to reality
She nods nothing nd smiles
Meera praises her nd asks her to keep this nd not to sell this one
She too smiles as she too doesn't want to sell this painting she nods
Meera asks her that she might b tired nd she should sleep
Nandini goes keeps d painting nd come back with medicine nd a glass of hot milk gives it to her to have it
Meera smiles as how mch she cares fr her but wonders if it will b same once she will get to know d truth she then takes d glass nd says its too hot she will take d medicine once d milk will b little hot as its too hot now nd she assures that she will take it nd ask her to take some rest
Nandu too leaves to her room on her insustence
Meera keeps on wondering d consequences she will hav to face when she will get to know truth nd d day is not to far as she has to tell her everything before its too late nd she will not b there no more
She talks to herself that tmrw before going to hospital she had to know d progress of work she had to complete before she dies
In this thought process she forgets to take medicine nd sleeps in that sitting pisition


Next morning meera wakes up before nandini as sun rays were directly falling on her pale face nd breaks her sleep
She gets up moves her head as its aching as she slept in sitting position then she saw milk on her side table nd remembers she forget to take medicine nd now its to late so she goes nd keeps d milk in jar before nandini gets to know nd she will b worried as she didn't took medicine last night
Then she gets ready for her check up till then nandini to wakes up nd comes out sees meera all ready she moves to her nd through her two fingers she asks her to wait for two minute she will b ready nd cone with her fr check up moving her hands to make her understand
Meera says her to not to come with her nd go to her work place as she didn't go yesterday too nd tells her she will go by herself after lots of pleading frm meera's side finalyy she manages to nandini to understand nd she gives in
Meera sighed relief nd leaves after collecting necessary things
Nandini to gets ready nd moves out with d portrait she made as to show to her friend cum boss as she don't want to sell it


At a deserted place
Meera was waiting for someone she didn't go to hospital as first she need to complete her incomplete work she was waiting for someone
After some tym a person comes
Person: m sorry wo mai late ho gya wo m kl hi wapas aya hu to thodi der ho gyi
Meera: mere pass ab tym nh tum batao jo kam mne tumhe dia wo pura hua ya ni she ask
Person: ji m puri kosis kr rha hu lkn abi thoda tym aur lagega inta asan nh
Meera: wahi to kah rhi hu mere pass tym hi toh nh
Person: mne kch aur log s baat ki h aur m kl jaa rahu hu khud dkhne agr kam hua kch dino m mai wapas aunga apka kam ho jaega par thoda aur lagega aap toh janti h kitni dur h woh jagan ane jane m bh bhut tym lagta h aur apka kam bh asan nh too
Meera understands what he is trying to say nd gives him money nd says abi mere pass itne hi h baki m kam pura hone p tumh de dungi pr plzz mera kam jldi jardo mrer pass samay nh
Person nods nd leaves taking money

Meera to walks away lost in thoughts that now hope her work will b done only her last wish so then she could die peacefully nd looks up asking for some more time fr god
She walks further rather than taking taxi as she was short of money nd hospital too was not that away frm that place it was walking distance but for her condition it wasn't gud


She walks fr more fifteen minutes nd everything blaks out her head was spinning she holds d pillar nd stands to regain concious when a boy came to her as he saw her in that condition to help her
He was no one other that manik he had cone fr morning walk when he saw a lady struggling nd holds a pillar to support
He comes to her nd holds her frm falling as she faints
He panics as he never witnessed such a situation he didn't even knew her name he tries to regain her in concious by patting her cheeks but it didn't work as she had fainted
He ask fr help nd manages to take a cab nd go to hospital meanwhile he calls her chachi as she was dr nd asks her to come to hospital as there was n emergency
