Krishna suddenly laughed as if he had enjoyed some humorous anecdote. Arjun looked at him with surprise. Both of them are walking towards The Royal dining hall enjoying the moon light.and cool breeze. What is that ? The reason for such heartfelt laugh? Share it. Arjun stopped in the middle pilling Krishna to sit on the Asans that are there in the adjacent gardens. Tonite your skills will be tested. Be prepared. Arjun's face changed colour. By whom? He asked sounding careless. Not by your opponents. But may be by your competitor. Krishna hinted. Arjun immediately realised. Oh,Satya it is. You mean. No way I am going to display my archery before her. Krishna smiled at him. It is not about your archery. Something Else. Arjun thought for a while. What is that Madhav is hinting at? He suddenly remembered his words to Panchali. Is there any connection between both? He pondered over. Krishna appreciated his sharpness. I admit.I am impressed Parth. He praised his friend. Sobe ready for anything. He alerted him. ...At the dining hall Subhadra told Arjun she wants him to escort her after the dinner as she is tired because of not taking rest in the afternoon. Arjun agreed silently. Arjun's eyes searched for Draupadi and finally he traced her at the table arranged for Balram looking after his needs. Bheem and Nakul are sitting with Balram . Satya came to Krishna. Lord, tonite I am going to Draupadi's chamber. You both can enjoy together. She said glancing at Arjun through the corner of her eye.Arjun looked at Krishna. Why not Satya ? Make yourself comfortable there. Arjun said with a little sarcasm.But how can you leave me dear Satya? Krishna pretended to be hurt. I know swami,you like Arjun's company more than mine. It is fine. No need to demonstrate your love for me. Satya taunted. Krishna and Arjun looked at each other.

Truely. I believe his soul is connected to her soul. Years of separation could not diminish the Prakash of their mutual love. In my other blog I am exploring Bharavi's kiratarjuniyam where I found the expression of love between the two remained the same . The fragrance of their love is inhaled by the greatest of poets such as Ved Vyas,Bharavi etc.I told myself not to bother about cynical minds that refuse to identify their love.Thanks for your continuous support.

Drupad who is sitting with Yudhisthira for dinner is observing his cherished son in law who just came with Krishna to dining hall. The night dinner in Indraprasth generally will be informal like whoever wishes to eat will be served food without having to wait for others to assemble there. Lunch particularly will be served before the five brothers attend the assembly and every one would make it a point to eat together. As Balaram has the habit to eat early he along with Bheem and Nakul are served first. Then Maharaj Yudhisthir accompanied Drupad and they to are about to start and Krishna and Arjun came. Drishti ,Satyaki and Sahadev are waiting for them and they are happy to finally see the friends in. Krishn and Arjun are notorious to maintain irregular timings and they will certainly eat when they feel like. Drupad who saw Arjun thought it would be courtesy to wait for him and Vaasudev . Yudhisthir knows the ways of Krishn and Arjun. So he persuaded Drupad. Maharaj Drupad let us start our dinner. It is not advisable for your health to wait further. Any way they also will commence shortly. Drupad is adamant. It would be nice if all of us get to eat together. He called Draupadi . Krkishnaa Did'nt you see Vasudev and Arjun enter? Arrange for them also . He insisted they should be seated right beside him. Draupadi tried to convince him. Pitasri, Maharaj is waiting for you to start . He is particular about timings please start together.Yudhishtir smiled and said. Maharaj is new to their habits. Panchali. They won't start that early. Drupal finally agreed to commence but ordered Draupadi to look after the friends. Panchali called Vijaya to attend upon maharaj and Drupad. She reluctantly went to them who are busy as usual in pulling the leg of Satya. She scolded Dhrisht who is delightfully watching them and enjoying. Brother, you don't want food tonite? You look like filling up your stomach with their jokes,You better come and sit with father along with Aarya Sahadev. . I can't tell Satyaki because he won't move an inch without his guruDev. Krishna heartily laughed and said. Parth see you are indirectly hit by your most intelligent queen. Let us go otherwise she will punish us. Draupadi snapped. Who can punish you two Govind? Arjun scolded Satyaki. Why do you wait for us? See you made the Queen angry.Even I am scared of her you know? Draupadi's face turned red. Krishna supported Arjun. Really Panchali.My friend is so hungry.Still you are not at all bothering. Satya ridiculed Arjun. See the face. Panchali did he appear hungry? Arjun winked and asked, Did'nt I look hungry? Panchali turned away her face. Go and ask your Subhadra. She will serve you, Arjun showed Krishna.See your sister. Every one looked at that direction where Subhadra is eating her dinner with Kunti ,Revati,Karenu and Jalandhara. Krishna laughed and said. See my sister can not cope up with your weird timings. Poor girl. Satyaki carried this to Subhadra who made a sulking face. Balram who finished his dinner and observing the fun pretended anger. Who is making fun of my sister ? Her husband? Arjun made an innocent face and hid himself behind Krishna.Drupad who is following the whole riot smiled happily. You know Yudhishtir. These two are unique. They brighten up the whole surroundings. Yudhisthir smiled in approval. Balram appreciated Panchali. My blessings princess. The food is really tasty. You and Bheem deserve applause. Nakul who finished his dinner alerted every one showing Bheem who is still eating. Bhrata Arjun, hurry up. Otherwise nothing will remain for you to eat. This is his tenth round. Panchali you will be in trouble. These people will have to sleep without food. Bheem rolled his eyes. Nakul Wait till I finish. Nakul laughed. Then I will have enough time to run fast. You won't finish that soon. Kunti scolded Nakul. Don't comment on his food I told you many times. Nazar lagega. Arjun questioned. To Bhrata Bheem? Impossible. Every one laughed uncontrollably . Panchali hid her smile and ordered the maids to arrange tables for them. Some one is hiding smiles here. Krishna commented. Yes pearls are falling all over, can't you see? Parth remarked.

Krishna asked Arjun who came out of his chamber. Is Subhadra awake? No. She said she got reeling sensation. I told her to sleep well so that she will be alright. May be she was tired. Arjun replied. Krishna's face glowed with radiance.Arjun wondered. Why are you so happy?Krishna smiled. Something's should be known at a proper time only.to enjoy the outcome. Before Arjun could say.more Priyamvada came and said. Your mother asked me to stay with Subhadra.Arjun understood.Krishna pulled him up and started walking towards Panchali's mansion. ...Inside Satya and Panchali are laughing thinking about the two friends.Satya proudly said. You know.It is not easy now for your husband to win over Satya. He should come and request me.Then I will oblige. Draupadi smiled but she is doubtful of Satya's victory. Arjun and defeat seems impossible. But still she is enjoying the game and relaxingly closed her eyes. You should not sleep even if I come late. His voice rang in her ears. She opened her eyes . His second requirement is jasmines which already are there in her hair.The third requirement is white dress which she did not wear. She is in her blue dress. Suddenly they heard a knock on the door. Satya prevented Panchali and went to open the door.As soon as she opened the door she saw Arjun coming inside with his hand on his forehead.He walked straight up to Panchali and laid down keeping his head on her lap. Krishnaa I have severe headache. Subhadra is already slept. I can't bear it further. Arjun's eyes are pain filled. He is feeling uneasy even to place his head at one place. Draupadi was bewildered. All through the afternoon he taught Archery in the open space. It was a hot day also. It may have effected him. Satya also did not see him like that. She is worried. Draupadi almost has tears in her eyes. Her beloved Arjun who unnecessarily endured twelve years of exile has jut returned home. Why should he suffer this much pain? She got angry on Dhrisht and Satyaki who always trouble him for archery training. Now onwards she should tell them strictly not to bother him. She placed her hand on his forehead and started to run her gingers smoothly keeping the curls away. Just then Krishna came with a medicinal cream in his hand. How is he? The pain is too much. I got this from Sahadev and asked him to stay back. Will you apply this or shall I take him with me? Draupadi grabbed that from him. She started applying on his forehead. Krishna looked at Satya. Now Parth may not be able to come over there I think. Subhadra is fast asleep. I hope he will become alright by tomorrow. Would you stay here? Or... Satya looked at Draupadi who is completely absorbed in serving him . .She bid goodbye to her and followed Krishna who asked Draupadi to give Arjun hot badam milk. Draupadi nodded and went inside to ask Malini bring the milk. She brought a smooth pillow to keep his head and wiped her tears. Malini brought the milk and went off closing the door . Draupadi approached Arjun and placed her hand on his forehead.

You have a wonderful skill of creative writing. I am following your os from the beginning. I just have some humble suggession for your writing. Fortunately I had the opportunity to read various versions of the epic Mahabharata including the critical editions. None of these writings has the indication that both Arjun and Draupadi were emotionally exploited and deprived from their dues because of others especially Yudhistir. There is a twenty first century trend to make him a selfish, self centered, egoist villain. But if we contain a minimum respect for this eternal saga of mankind and have a minimum observations on this pious soul like Yudhistir we should not portray him as a heartless fellow who had the habit to snatch the best things from his youngers to fulfill his own ego. Draupadi was a feminine power personified and she had the courage and capability to transform even her ill fate to a blessing. She was never a helpless person and her devotion, fidelity towards her husbands was beyond any doubt. If she had the feelings of always thinking and longing for Arjun while living with other husbands She would never be the person so respectfully treated even today. Then her conscience would no longer remain the source of her endless self confidence and dignity. I know this is a creative writing but as you know that many people today following this os then it should not be like that which can develop any type of misconception about the epic and its characters which may be the guiding inspiration even for today.

Well,Whether Draupadi loved Arjun more...I discussed in my other blog in Did Draupadi love Arjun more?as per the epic. I am not going to do that here. My story definitely is inspired by Draupadi's admission Kamyakam na pratibhati me...Kamyaka does'nt appeal to me without Arjun...that too before her husbands . You are free to hold your views. I definitely feel ArDi love sure,spotless and beautiful.

Krishna took Satya into their chamber in Arjun's mansion. Satya appeared in deep thought. Krishna gathered her in his arms. How could you think of spending the night away from me? He asked with a mischievous face. Satya became suspicious on seeing his expression. Are you not worried for Arjun? She questioned him straightly. He is in such pain and you are laughing here. I can't believe it. She confronted. Relax Satya . Govind made her sit on their couch. You know your brow is filled with sweat shows your tension. Cool down. He said in his magical voice. That is not an answer to my question. Satya's suspicion becoming strong with each minute. Well. What should I do? His wife will look after him better than me. He will be alright by tomorrow. Govind assured. Satya looked into his eyes. Tell me Swami. What is going on? You can't divert me further. Arjun's headache is genuine or not? She questioned demanding an answer. Krishna smiled. Arjun'spain is genuine. But not due to headache. May be from love sickness. Satya's face changed colour .she accusedhim. Swami,you both played game now I understand. I am a fool not to understand Arjun's false headache. And you helped him win over me. Not fair. Krishna took her face into his hands. Who will understand the passion of love more than my Satya? You are the goddess of passion and intense love. You should understand him more than any one else. Any way winning and losing does'nt matter when it happens between friends.i know my Satya well. She will understand. Govind's mesmerising voice made Satya forget every thing and feel the supreme bliss of his love and passion.

Draupadi sat near Arjun and started to smoothen his curls . She ardently gazed at his sharp and handsome features. and wondered how could any one be so perfect in every feature. There is nothing wrong on part of her father to get charmed by him and create a wife for his sake in the form of his daughter. Why did'nt you wear white tonite? She heard Arjun's voice and looked down at him .Arjun is watching her with smiling eyes . The painful expression in his eyes has gone. Instead the normal playful naughty Arjun is back rolling his head on her lap . Draupadi now got the doubt that. His headache must be false as no trace of it is seen. She tried to push his head away from her lap but he clasped her waist in firm grip. So your headache is false no? Why did you cheat Satya and me? She confronted. Arjun moved his finger on her cheek upside down . You know I like winning be it in war or in love. Satya's challenge should be met with . How could she imagine that he would loose. Poor Satya she was fooled by both friends. But it is not her fault. She vies with Arjun always but she admires him a lot. She takes pleasure in challenging him ,irritating him but Satya admires the super archer,the handsome prince with attitude. That she can understand. Draupadi looked at Arjun who is blissfully enjoying his victory. You are too bad Arjun,you exploit those who love you to your advantage.she said with a vexed tone. Arjun blinked his eyes. Raised his eyebrows. So wicked I am? Then why do Yajnaseni love me so much? He questioned holding her chin in hand, I am not talking of myself. It is about my friend Satya . Draupadi forcefully said. Arjun feigned ignorance. Satya likes me? That is news to me. His eyes as usual has the naughty glint. So much attitude. Still Pitasri loves you more than me. Draupadi got up and walked into her terrace garden which is cool, soothing with moon Rays and blooming jasmines. She remembered the lonely nights she spent there when he is in Exile. Now he is beside her but she is arguing with him for silly reasons. Arjun came behind her bent lower and placed his head on her shoulder. He inhaled the blue lotus fragrance as well as The fragrance of jasmines. He wondered at the intensity of his passionate love. Why is he that enamoured by Krishnaa. He always thought that he can fall in love but he should not let himself lost in it.ulupi,Chitra, Aarya and Subhadra loved him hopelessly and were lost in him. But Krishnaa, is different. Her love intoxicates him and he would lose control over himself. Still he can not admit it to her. It may complicate matters in their life dictated by norms. Draupadi turned her face to him and looked into his hazel eyes that are lost in thought. Who is that lucky one ,that made you think of her while you are with me? She questioned looking suspiciously. Arjun has a serious expression. Want to know her? Listen.Already Draupadi's eyes showed her envy.She has very big eyes.Arjun started. Beautiful eyebrows. Draupadi knitted her eye brows. Her nose is so cute. Her lips are curvy ,delicate and reddish. Arjun stopped. Draupadi widened her eyes. Who is that damsel ,must be too beautiful. She thought. Her chin is sharp and edgy. She has long curly hair ,I can't describe the natural glow of that hair. Arjun's eyes are dreamy. Draupadi got suspicious. Is he describing her own beauty? She can't decide. Her neck is like conch sankh. The blue lotus fragrance is her speciality. Arjun took her face into his hands and drew her closer. Draupadi blushed profusely. Arjun started. If you go down the neck you will drool over the beautiful sculpture like ...Draupadi closed his lips from uttering more.
