Arjun and Draupadi It was the celebration day at Indraprastha. All had gone very well and all the residents were pretty happy. Post that the Rajasuya yajna was to be held soon. Next morning as the soul sisters Draupadi and Subhadra were collecting flowers the Dasi came in and informed," Master Arjun wishes to meet you. Subhadra had a natural smile on her face thinking why her Arya would have called her. She hurriedly kept the flowers by Draupadi's side and hastily asked the Dasi whether she was supposed to go in her room or he will be waiting for her somewhere else. The Dasi hesitantly replied, "Dear Queen, it is not you whom he wishes to meet, in fact it is the Maharani Draupadi whom he wishes for." Subhadra stepped backward. Draupadi thought, "Neither is it supposed the year of me with him, nor there is any reason." With a confused face she left. There in Arjun's room it was dark. Suddenly all the lights lit up around her. A voice called. Draupadi was very much familiar with it. It was Arjun's. She noticed him and enquired him of the arrangements. Arjun said, "It has been long, since I've come back from Dwarka, I have not talked to you. So, thought about it. Draupadi was miffed. She said, "If you are thinking of this, then I'm sorry. I have other works too." Arjun held her hand when she was about to leave. He said, "Have you become so busy now? That you do not have time for your husband? A person shan't do so much work." Draupadi's reply came as a slap on Arjun's words. She said, "You have yourself pushed me into the work. And now...OK fine! This is not my year with you. So, if anybody notices me here with you then I have to be blamed." Arjun said, "But I have married you with full rites. I have not married you just for one year. I have total right on you." Draupadi said, "Gone are those days when I used to wonder all these you are saying. Today I am a strong lady. I have taste of the world. It's time you shall have it too." Arjun suspiciously said, "So, now I wonder, you have lost your heart to someone else." Draupadi, "I have full right on my heart. But being a wife of 5, I can't even think of another one in my life. My life has been pissed in between you 5." "Sure, it is my greatest enemy, Karna..." "What the hell!" "No, no... I just saw you together talking and giggling. During the celebrations I saw you all talking to each other." Draupadi irked said, "Talking does not make someone fall in love! And by the way, you shan't be talking about all these! Are you taunting me or making me realize that I am a betraying wife." Arjun, lost in her words said, "Hmmm, so you have changed a lot. But let me confess that I fell in love with you the minute I saw you and deeply when we started talking." Draupadi said, "Are you trying to attract me?" "No, just speaking my heart out!" "Well, ok, I'll bring something to you to eat." Arjun said, "Well, you did not reply." "Later!" Now I am going. Arjun once again held Draupadi's hand and said, "Now will you stay back for some time?"
