New Delhi, March 15 (IANS) " TV actress Ridhi Dogra says she was "irritated" with insects-based stunts due to which she was unable to tackle them and got eliminated from stunt-based reality TV show "Khatron Ke Khiladi - Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns".
She has become the fourth contestant from a line-up of 14 to get eliminated from "Khatron Ke Khiladi - Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns".
For Ridhi, who has appeared in shows like "Savitri" and "Nach Baliye 6, the six-week journey was "a very good experience".
"I used to believe that I'm not really fearful and scared of anything. So, I wanted to test that and I realised that I'm really not scared of anything," Ridhi told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
"My elimination stunt was with cockroaches. It was not that I got frightened, but I got irritated with them. So, it's not fear that got me eliminated.
"I didn't want them on me. I was so angry at them for walking on my body. They really made me feel annoyed," she added.
However, Ridhi says she has learnt a lot from the show.
"One thing that I was able to overcome was my fear of height. Now, I'm not that scared of it. I've gained a lot of mental strength from the show. If we can put our mind into something, then we can definitely attain success from it," she said.
Remembering her days on the show, which was shot in Cape Town, South Africa, she said: "We did all kinds of stunts there. For one stunt, I was in a tank full of water. That time I felt I was in the middle of a tsunami."
Ridhi is planning to do more challenging roles in future in the fiction genre.
She added: "Right now, I've purposely not taken up a show because I'm waiting for something challenging and exciting. My previous two shows Maryada' and Savitri' have really spoiled me as an actor. My work on both these shows required me to challenge myself as an actor. I want to do fiction in future."
Video jockey and host Archana Vijaya and actors Harshad Arora and Sidharth Bhardwaj were previously ousted from the show, hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
The line-up of celebrity contestants who are left comprise actors Ashish Chowdhry, Hussain Kuwajerwala, Iqbal Khan, Sana Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Rashami Desai, Asha Negi, the multi-faceted Meiyang Chang, Kabaddi star Rakesh Kumar and item girl Nathalia Kaur.

It was unlucky for Ridhi. She got bit by the snakes and cockroaches and the snakes were more on top of her than it looked on the others.
Asha got injured during the lion stunt when she was pulled down but they didnt show it.

Riddhi Dogra, who is the latest to be ousted from Khatron Ke Khiladi, calls the journey an experience of a lifetime. "I'm a phattu in real life. I don't play squash; I don't drive fearing the traffic. I went to the show purely to test myself and I think I did very well," she says. Her family too is happy with her stint on the show. "People back home thought that I would be out in the fourth episode itself, but I managed to stick around for 12 episodes and that made them proud," says the actress who shot to fame with her TV show Maryada Lekin Kab Tak.
On KKK, there were many moments that made her uneasy, especially the time she was locked in a box full of cockroaches. I wanted to slap each one of the cockroaches in that box and yell at them. But the show helped me get over my fears. Heights make me dizzy but now it's amazing how I can stand on a tower and look down and not feel dizzy at all. All those height-based stunts finally paid off," says the actress.
She only has good things to say about her host Rohit Shetty. "Rohit is a thorough gentleman. He is tough when he wants to be."
Ask her to choose a favourite contestant and she says, "I'm rooting for Asha (Negi) and Hussein. He does every task with great precision and detailing and I want him to win the show."
Riddhi and her husband Raqesh Vashisth had impressed the audience with their chemistry in Maryada... Speaking of their long hiatus from TV series, she says, "Raqesh and I have not been taking up work for some time now because we want something interesting. I don't know when will that happen but we shall wait. I'm itching to work but I will only take up something that challenges me. It's very rightly said that in the industry actors are not paid for their talent but for their patience," she says.
It's kind of unfair to say she's the 4th contestant to get eliminated, coz though Rashami is back as a WC entry, she got eliminated. At it seems like not snakes, but cockroaches bit Ridhi
