Ahead of her visit to Pakistan scheduled for February end, veteran actor and politician Kirron Kher expressed her penchant for Pakistani actors, lauding them for cementing their place on Indian television through quality performances, reported Roznama Express. She termed this as no less than an achievement for the Pakistani entertainment industry.

Kirron, who recently appeared next to Fawad Khan in his Bollywood debut Khoobsurat, hopes to work with actors the likes of Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed and Fahad Mustafa on TV. She feels such collaborations would churn out interesting content for audiences of both the countries. She stated that there should be no qualms about how Pakistani dramas are unparalleled, mainly because Pakistani actors are well-versed and have good dialogue delivery.

Recently, the actor revealed that she might step away from the judge's seat for Colorstelevision network's India's Got Talent due to her political and acting commitments, reportedbollywoodlife.com. Kher, who has been a part of the show since its inception in 2009, shared the reason behind her decision. "I'd love to judge the show but I don't even have the time to breathe. I will have to be careful to avoid outrageous or controversial topics because that could hinder my political career."

However, when a channel spokesman was contacted, he revealed that the actor will remain on board for the sixth season. "Kirron Kher has been associated with the show since its inception and will be on the jury panel for the upcoming sixth season as well," he stated. Last year, Kirron was elected from Chandigarh as a member of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, and had promised the construction of a film city in the region if elected, reported Business Standard.

Kirron, the wife of renowned film-theatre actor Anupam Kher, revealed the reason behind building a film city in Chandigarh. "If we have a full-fledged film city here, it would save the directors from a lot of transportation costs and booking troubles. Further, it will boost Chandigarh's economy by creating huge employment and it will bring Chandigarh on the national and the global map as a preferred filming and shooting destination."

Over the years, the actor has appeared in several notable films, such as Om Shanti OmVeer-ZaaraHum TumMain Hoon NaDevdas and Khamosh Pani. She won a Best Actor' National Film Award for her performance in Bariwali.
