Sidharth Shukla bids adieu to Balika VadhuSidharth Shukla, who has catapulted to fame as Shiv in Balika Vadhu, will soon bid goodbye to the show. And a three-year association will come to an end with this. While many actors had quit the show before Sidharth, the latter's track has reached its logical conclusion.
He will be shown dead just before the show goes in for the time leap post which Anandi (Toral Rasputra) will deliver twins. Sidharth confirms, "Yes, the journey has ended. It has been mutually decided between the production house and me. It's been a long and a happy journey. I take a lot of pride on my association with the show." Ask him if he was averse to the idea of playing father to three children on the show and pat comes the reply, "Not at all. Every character has a role to play in a show and I have done my bit."

Neha Maheshwri,TNN | Jan 7, 2015, 12.00 AM ISTSidharth Shukla, who has catapulted to fame as Shiv in Balika Vadhu, will soon bid goodbye to the show.
How does it feel to part after three years? "The show has given me acknowledgment and I have gained a lot from it. It's a positive feeling to leave a show that has given you so much," he says. Many feel that Balika Vadhu has lived its life and should wrap up, but Sidharth begs to differ. "It is a cult show and is not time-bound," he says. While the actor will be missing on the show, he will continue hosting Savdhaan India. "There has always been a time crunch because of erratic schedules and the location of the shoot, which is very far. I would hardly get time for myself. Now, I will take some time off work just for myself," he says.
Since the actor is not quitting the show, there will be no replacement for his popular character. While Sidharth refuses to divulge details about the soon-to-be-shot track, according to sources, Shiv will die a martyr's death.
And will he be brought back by public demand? Well, we'll have to wait and see.
