Spectacular performances that would make one sit up and take notice supported by a storyline that never became dull even for a second is not an easy feat to achieve but the team of Ek Hasina Thi seems to have aced it an how!!! Star Plus' Ek Hasina Thi produced by Cinevistaas has won the hearts of viewers all over the globe with its unique and bold concept and amazing story. The sole reason we used the adjective BOLD' is because right from the word Go' to the final wrap not once did the show falter.

They had a plan and they stuck to it. They aimed at entertaining the viewers but also on leaving a strong and essential message along with it and the end result -They Succeeded and not just a simple success it turned out to be an achievement that the team would be proud of for the rest of their lives.

The concept of Good winning over the evil', Truth alone triumphing' and Justice Prevailing' has been done and then done some more in Hindi fictional drama series but Ek Hasina Thi has turned out to be a game changer, a benchmark in the history of Indian Television where 100% desi entertainment with a relevant social message without being too preachy was delivered. Every show Cinevistaas has produced so far on one side and the brilliance of Ek Hasina Thi on the other. A golden feather in their cap, Ek Hasina Thi is undoubtedly that one show which has put Cinevistaas in a way higher league.

The show ended on 20th December 2014 with Durga defeating the Evil Goenka's . While the finale episode saw some really amazing moments Payal (A character brilliantly essayed by Teena Chopra) once again knocking the doors of the judicial system asking for justice, Durga's (Undoubtedly Sanjeeda Sheikh's most stunning performance in till date) speech in the court that echoed the heart of every woman, every rape victim and survivor but the icing on the cake hands down was Shauyra turning his back against Sakshi (Two powerful characterizations immortalized by Vatsal Seth and Simone Singh).

Don't jump to any conclusion guys; the reason that scene stood out was not because Shaurya ditched his mother, the woman who has stood right by him through everything. Yes from a character point of view that is what happened but in a more deeper sense every question that Shaurya asked (Vatsal was mindblowing in this particular scene) to his mom was a way of showing the mirror to all those women, all those mother who turn a blind eye when their son does a mistake or commits a crime. A mom is a child's biggest school; she holds the power to make the son she gave birth to become a good person, to differentiate right from wrong and most importantly respect a woman. Using Shaurya for such a thought provoking scene was a fantastically bold move and one that will surely force people to ponder and act upon.

Sanjeeda Sheikh, Simone Singh, Vatsal Seth, Ayub Khan, Bhupinder Singh, Bhuvnesh Mann, Mihir Mishra, Teena Chopra, Kishwer Merchant every actor delivered the best and turned Ek Hasina Thi one of the best shows viewers would ever come across.

Kuch bhi karenge toh Tashan mein, jaayenge toh bhi Tashan mein jaayenge...During the week Ek Hasina Thi was gearing up for the final adieu the show emerged as the winner in the TRP chart at the 8:00 PM Slot leaving Zee TV's popular and number one show Jodha Akbar behind which was ruling the slot since a very long time. Talk about going in STYLE!!!

The show went off with an open end which definitely means that if the makers plan on bringing the team for another thrilling and mind-boggling experience then one can definitely look forward to seeing a season 2.

The popular show "Ek Hasina Thi" came to a fantastic end on 20 December 2014. The suspense-filled show ended triumphantly with the Goenkas being sentenced to jail and Durga getting justice for Payal.

The show which had been topping the TRP list lately has gotten much support thus far, primarily because it is a unique concept to Indian Television. Unlike the typical saas-bahu drama, Ek Hasina Thi was filled with mystery from the very beginning, and with each episode, more and more secrets would be unravelled.

The show followed the story of Durga Thakur (Sanjeeda Sheikh), who was seeking justice for her sister Payal (Teena Chopra). Payal had been raped by Shaurya Goenka (Vatsal Seth) and a few of his friends two years back, alas, the show came to its conclusion when Durga was successful in ruining the Goenkas, who had committed other heinous crimes as well. Despite that, at the end of the episode, Durga got a call, and she heard Shaurya's infamous whistle again. Does this mean that Ek Hasina Thi will have a season 2? What are your views?
