Subtle and Impactful - Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye

Story - Story raises issues of a woman in a different aspect more of economical independence and a mental connection with someone else than getting tortured in the same married life with husband cheating for years with no end to anguish. A victim of betrayal, how a wife will seek a friend in her boss, a stranger and in the process gets attached to him emotionally. Already promos regarding story line is out.

Episode Synopsis - Episode starts with a simple plot of one woman and her anniversary gift from her politician perfect husband. This innocent wife is living in a perfect Barbie world of his husband, kids, in - laws from 9 years. Nothing seemed to be superficially dark with everything falling in place unless shady side of husband appears in last segment of episode where he was found engaged in adultery and with sending secret data to enemies. In between a stranger owning a chain of coffee shops open his store on other side of road. That's the only connection available to bring these two together.

To add beautification to the show Sonali's monologue about life and its unpredictability give audience a hope to see twisty tale with some unique turns. Background score of old songs and music takes you back to the days of romance, simplicity and subtle-ness.

Symbolism - There is just one context in the last scene which gives a glance of togetherness between both protagonists, i.e. when she was left alone on the road by everyone, the stranger was the only one who was standing on the same road symbolically referring that he is the when who will not leave her be it what circumstances.

Performances - Sonali Bendre is beautiful, remarkable and the just what is expected. Harsh Chaya shows a glance of evil side of a husband in recaps and Atul Agnihotri as usual best suited for his role of a rude and unsocial businessmen.

Strengths - Though it is too early to count strengths of a show in first episode especially with a different concept but performances by protagonists and antagonists will play a major role and undoubtedly biggest strength of this show.

Weakness - It's hard to find weaknesses in a power packed - star packed show but I guess there is room for introduction of a coffee shop on its first grand day of opening. Celebrations of a new shop were certainly a miss and ambience very different and less romantic as shown in promo.
