Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye - Five Reasons That Make The Show Different
Balaji Telefilms and Life Ok teamed up to bring us a new show called, Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye. The show stars Sonali Bendre, Apurva Agnihotri, Harsh Chhaya and Alka Amin. The first episode aired on October 6 and the show has brought some freshness and an interestingly unique concept. We are going to present you with the five reasons that make this show different from others.
Concept
The concept of Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye is very interesting. Shobha (Sonali Bendre) is married to a big politician named, Samarth (Harsh Chhaya). They have two kids together and have been married for nine years. The show deals with extra martial affairs. Samarth has a physical one which later leads Shobha to have an emotional one.
Characters
The characters in the show are modern, yet traditional. They live in a joint family system and each character adds a lot to the story and makes you want to continue watching to see what happens to them next.
Saas-bahu
This isn't your typical saas-bahu drama. The saas-bahu in this show are actually quite endearing. It is obvious that they have their issues, but neither one of them is ridiculously evil. In fact, they both do care about each other, but they do argue. The approach of the bahu, Shobha is different as well. She says what she needs to, to her mother-in-law's face, rather than being the sacrificial bahu.
Positive Message
Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye is going to give a positive message to all the women who will be watching the show. The show will raise questions about a woman's economic independence. It will question whether or not a woman can walk out of an unhappy marriage. Why does the wife always have to forgive the husband? Why is the entire marriage the wife's responsibility?
The Affairs
The show is giving a realistic view of extra marital affairs which happens in reality and the aftermath that it has on the people who are involved, especially the husband and wife. Interestingly, they will be showing the wife having an emotional affair as well, which is something quite new and bold for Indian television, considering that she is a positive character.
