Hello ladies.
The sweet that you are talking about is 'Imarti' and not 'amarti'. It like jalebi.It's a very saught after sweet in north India.While jalebis are slender Imarti is thick. And while jalebis are dipped in sugar syrup imartis are dry. The difference is same as that between gulab jamun and kaala jaam.while the former is softer in texture and is full of sugar syrup the other one is a bit harder and is dry.
And by now you all would have realized that I am a die hard foodie ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜† who goes by the name of Neha ๐Ÿ˜Š

Nice to meet all of you guys. I'm Indian at heart but live in the US so I know many thing's but some escape my knowledge, so thanks for the info. I read all your posts and find them to be amazing. I occasionally like and comment as well, much like Noreen.
