Absolutely fabulous post, Shweta. A beautiful tribute.
Although I have not been following the show regularly of late, would like to post a note of appreciation to the complete RR team for conceptualizing the show and bring it to life. After four years, a show got me to come out of the silent mode. Each character... from Rudra and Paro to Maithili and Mohini was etched beautifully. Kudos to the actors for enacting them so effortlessly.
Paro was a simple yet complex, silent yet strong. A mystic. Tenacious and unwavering. An eternal optimist. There was a lot of doubt if Sanaya could carry off the role of a simple, village belle. She made Paro's character her own. Another feather in her cap. Sorely disappointed that her character was killed off. Must add, Sanaya portrayal of Myrah was such that it seemed a completely different individual altogether.
Ashish finally achieved well deserved recognition with RR. A powerhouse performer indeed. And one of the few actors on Telly-land who can actually emote with his eyes. Rudra was a very complex character, with layers upon layers. Such fabulous portrayal... one could not help but empathise in spite of the gray shades. Read about him planning to produce shows for GEC. Would definitely give it a watch.
Ananya was simply fabulous. She is best known for her role in Devdas. I recall her from my growing years when she played Nirmala in a DD show, and later in Mahayagya.. A complete performer. I hope she does not take a long break again.
All said and done, feeling a bit sad for ST. It was after all his dream project. And no dream project deserves this. I can only wish that he digs in his heels next time. Stories of valor are not really popular. LOC was termed the most boring movie ever by a leading actor. If, maybe... it could have begun differently. But then, it would not be the RR we loved.
My best wishes for the team, and wishing each member success in all their future endeavors.
