So in one go, Imran Siddiqui has put Najma, the Baigs and the entire mohalla against himself. The only person who had half a word for him was Mariam who, thanks to her midnight terrace meanderings, knows that this is one thoroughly unhappy man.
Yes, he was shaken after what the principal said, but frankly, Imran is beginning to seem a little odious.

First, he drinks like a fish.
He is rude, bossy and ungrateful to his maamu, even if he has mellow moments. He doesn't even make the effort to go with his cheerfulness.
He wallows in self pity.
He has no hope for the future.
He's violent - keeps hurling things around - who does he think is going to sweep up after him each time?
He doesn't put his best foot forward for a new job, a new locality.
He's going to teach children - how's he going to do that drunk?
He was WAY out of line with Najma today even though she was being a pest.

So get your act together, bro - your attitude stinks a little more than your alcoholic breath.

In response to your topic question, Imran is most definitely at rock bottom! In fact there is rock bottom, then 50 feet of crap, and then there is Imran! He is truly at the lowest of the lows and there doesn't seem to be any recovery in sight!

Since the beginning of the show I've been waiting for Najma and Imran's first meeting, and well the way it happened was nowhere close to how I had imagined! Like you said, in one jhatka he has managed to alienate the entire neighborhood and the only person who I thought would have been his ally in the beginning...and it's going to take some time for him to come back from that because well he's not exactly going to be making any efforts to amend things!

But the one thing that needs to happen ASAP is someone putting an end to his drinking! Nothing will get better until he gets sober, and like you said, he can't possibly be thinking about teaching children while being drunk! Once those whiskey bottles have been taken out of the picture, maybe, just maybe his life will start to come back on track!

I just hope that they don't stretch this forever, because even though this story has a lot of potential, the ridiculously slow pace is off-putting! We are 10 episodes in, there needs to be more interactions between Imran-Najma-Mariam, and please a little less of those Tauseef visions! Focus on Imran's recovery so that the story can move ahead!

Hehehehe! 😆 True, true. What a way introduce the hero, eh?

Yes, Najma will just loathe him now. We don't know what it's going to take for him to turn around - he has to DECIDE enough is enough and for that, he needs a fillip of some kind. And then uphill task, getting into everyone's good books - if that is the story arc at all.

But the one thing that needs to happen ASAP is someone putting an end to his drinking! Absolutely. The drinking has to go. Hasan must be quite sick of apple juice 😛

I think it will now. So far they wanted to introduce the characters and backgrounds, so the tension was totally dependent on Younis bade abbu being the main obstacle. Now going by the precap, Dada jaan has given Najma permission to pursue badminton, so now seriously enter the Villain-Hero. We are moving into the main characters interacting.

Indeed less of Tauseef unless he adds something to the story!

the thing is imran aint even giving it a try to come over his past..!
but this question confuses me as well that how'd he be teaching students in a drunk state..

and the way princy was saying about his past thing-that parents wont like their children to have a teacher like imran, that hints he actually is a murderer
