I agree Mandy, there the biggest giveaways, even zain was wondering whether he had finally found Aaliya. The description of her didn't help but when he meets her hell find out what they had meant.

That's what it seemed to me too. Especially after the way zain knows Aaliya, he can't think of her in any other way. The Aaliya he knew couldn't hurt a fly and here she was being described as a witch!
