I really liked the ending of Belly rajputan... i think the best part was that princess Maya Fernandes remained true to the character..even in the end. I was not expecting that.

Maya was one heck of a lady. All poised and mysterious. What really makes her a memorable character for me is the strength that she had. Regardless of her feelings for Badar, she didn't change her stance about things. She kept her dignity upright and whatever may happen to others, she knew she was right with what she did. And that sense of being right kept her at ease. Though Badar was broken thinking her dead but as she had promised, he brought it upon himself..

Isnt it Umera Ahmed who wrote Zindagi Gulzar Hai??? I watched the serial, and it has redefined my opinion about the TV soaps! I am an Indian and I never watched a Pakistani serial before... Not only should Indian soaps learn MUCH from Pakistani serials and telefilms, but even Bollywood must go a long way.
I could never expect any TV serial to be so meaningful in story, direction, the portrayal of values, relationships, without extra graces and just everything, until I watched ZGH(plus many other telefilms and some soaps)...
I wish I could read her book too. I wish I knew Urdu... I am so lovestruck with everything related to Pakistani serials! :P
Sorry for talking about serials on this topic which is about books!

i think Armeena Khan..!?!?
the story sucked and the twist was just so predictable.

I liked how the writer described the grace in her character and how she always had this cold expressions on her face which never gave away what was in her mind... sadly, the writer did not do justice to Zahra's character.

First of all, welcome to this forum :)
ZGH is based on a novel written by Umera Ahmed. I have read the novel and it was way better than the serial. The novel had many interesting scenes of Zaroon-Kashaf during university but they were not part of the serial. Also many extra characters were added in the serial. Having said this, i'm glad you are liking Pakistani serials.
