Aaliya's Apartment

Aaliya's POV
He is hurt. Hell. I can't see him hurt like that. He has always been there for me. In every happiness, sadness, crisis, anything. He has always been a true supporter. And now he needs my support! And I am going to support him.
"Shh Zain. Don't cry" I had his head on my lap while I was combing through his hair. Life has so much tragedies. Zain had just faced one too. Thinking on what effect would it have on him makes me feel guilty. Guilty that I can't do anything about his condition. It feels as if he is there because of me.
"Zain. It isn't your fault. It will never. I need you to listen to me Zain. Zain pls listen to me" I tried but no avail. He was still crying. I held his head close to my chest. Trying to soak in the pain he was feeling, into me. But it wasn't. He still continued crying.
He was only 4 years when his real parents died. His parent's friend Mr. Osman Abdullah and his wife Mrs. Surraiya Abdullah adopted Zain. Although they never made him realize. And they pledged they would never. But about 1 hour ago, Zain had found out. Found out that the person he once claimed as his best friend, his bro, his father, his darling, his everything. Was not his father! No! This was a big fat lie.
I still remember his tears. I took him out of that house and brought him to my apartment. I didn't live with my parents. Well that's another story. Right now, our motive is Zain.
"Aaliya why has it happened with me? I don't have anyone to call mine. I have nowhere I could say as my 'home' anymore. I have lost everything and anything" Zain said still crying.
"No Zain! I am still with you. I love you Zain. And Uncle loves you too. Zain relationships are not made by blood relation, they are made by love. And Uncle and Aunt love you more than anything. They ARE your parents Zain".
"I don't want to go back in that house Aaliya. I don't!" He said as he snuggled close to my stomach while his head on my lap. He tried seeking warmth like in his mother's arms. And I tried to provide him with it.
"Shhh Zain. No one is asking you to go back. You can stay here as long as you can. I am the one you can call yours. This is your home. OUR home. This is where you could say as your 'home'. We are going to live together Zain. Like in movies" I said. Yeah! That seems like a nice plan. We will live together. That is so awesome!
"Live together?" He finally stopped crying raising his head from my lap.
"Yes!" I said cupping his face in between my palms, clearing off his tears. My heart sank seeing his dull, tear-stained face. He didn't look like MY Zain. That chubby, ready to argue KitKit. Nah! This is not it.
"I love you Aaliya!"
"I love you too Zain. Now, there are practicals coming up. We need to study"
And our journey begins.

"Zain are you mad? What have you done to yourself?" I had tears in my eyes. He had a fight with the goons because they had made a stupid comment on me. I don't care what others say until my Zain is safe. And he isn't in this case.
