The riots in his heart- An Ishra OS
Hey guys, this is my new OS on IshRa based on yesterday's episode. I hope you guys like it. Please comment and let me know. I know a lot of you are waiting for my update on my other SS. I will do that soon. But for now let me know how you guys like this. It is slightly long but I hope you guys will like it.
Raman was furious that Ishita disconnected his call and acted so carelessly by being on the road at this hour. But at least he had heard her voice and felt slightly better. He was trying to calm himself down.
Raman: "Yeh Jhansi ki Rani bhi na... Bewakoof."
Raman decided to rush home so that he could assess the situation and be with his family. He got into his car hurriedly. The policeman approached him and asked him where he was going. Raman told him he was going home and gave him the address. The policeman gave him directions so that he can avoid the areas with trouble and take a relatively safe route home. He also transmitted the number of Raman's car so that it is allowed to pass the check post.
Raman was driving home as fast he could. A multitude of thoughts raced in his mind but the central point of all these thoughts was just one: Ishita. All he could think of was how Ishita is and how for a few seconds he thought he had lost her. All his thoughts were befuddled and he did not have any single clear thoughts but he just kept repeating Ishita's name in his mind.
The policeman had asked him to take a long detour to reach his house and thus, it took him almost over an hour to reach home. He had also been stopped at two check posts.
When he reached home, he could hear a lot of commotion coming from the society's hall. He did not care. He just wanted to go home and check on Ishita. As he was getting out of the car, he saw Ishita running towards the house from the society's hall. She seemed happy and did not notice him in her hurry.
A unusual sense of joy and relief spread through him on seeing Ishita but he also got incensed at the same time. He thought how could she be smiling and being happy when in the last few hours he has almost lost his mind due to anxiety.
He runs towards the house. When he opens the door, he sees Ishita coming out with a bottle of honey in her hand. She says, " Raman, pata tumhe...". He cuts her short and opens his mouth to scold her for her callousness. Raman screams in his anger, " Ishita, tum...". However, he does not know what to say next as so many thoughts are trying to come out of his mouth at the same time. He opens and closes his mouth multiple times like a fish out of water but is unable to get the words out. All he can feel is a sense of ownership, a sense of belonging and a huge sense of relief spreading through his body and tingling in his toes and fingers. He is trying to soak her presence in. For the first time, her presence before him is important to him.
Then he does the only thing that his mind and body can think of doing. He takes one big step and engulfs Ishita in a hug. He holds her tightly and buries his head in her neck. He wants to be sure that Ishita is safe and sound and with him. Ishita's hands and the bottle of honey are pressed tightly against his chest and the bottle is hurting him but he does not care. He needs to do this to calm himself down and to believe in Ishita's safety. He holds her tightly and is trying to feel every inch of her touching his body. The closeness is calming him down.
Ishita is shocked and she does not know how to react. She knows that this cannot be to show anyone as they are alone at home. Everybody is in the society's hall with Pooja and her new born baby. Ishita's hands are stuck and she cannot move. She says in a soft tone, " Raman..".
Ishita's voice jolts Raman back to reality and he realizes what he is doing. He leaves her and does not want her to realize how worried he was or how much he cares about her at this very moment. He masks his concern with anger and starts to scream, "Tumhara dimaag kharab hai kya..".
Just then, Trisha comes and says, " Ishita Bhabhi, chalo sab aapka wait kar rahe hai. Aapko honey nahi mila kya?" Ishita looks at Raman and starts to move towards the door. Trisha excitedly tells Raman how Pooja has had a baby girl and how the baby was delivered by Ishita. She starts walking with Raman towards the society's hall and describes to Raman how Ishita delivered the baby. However, he is very distracted by his own thoughts and that Ishita's delivering the baby was close to a miracle does not register on him.
He reaches the society's hall to see a tense atmosphere and hears an angry Ruhi screaming at everybody. Ruhi is vehemently defending Ishita and is actually asking Bala's mom to apologize to Ishita for calling her barren. His chest swells up with pride at how mature and righteous his daughter his. He looks at Ishita and sees tears welling up in her eyes. He has a strong urge to go wipe those tears but he stands rooted at the entrance of the hall.
At the same time, Pooja speaks and says, " Ruhi sahi hai. Ishita Bhabhi Ruhi ki maa hai. Aur aaj Ishita Bhabhi ne jaise mujhe our mere bache ko bachaya hai or jitna hamare liye kiya hai woh sirf ek maa hi kar sakti hai. Ishita Bhabhi nahi hoti toh aaj main or mera bacha dono nahi hote. Main toh chahungi ki yeh rasam Ishita bhabhi ke haath se hi ho aur bade hokar meri beti Ishita bhabhi ke qualities ko apnaye."
Ishita's tears fall on her cheek while Raman realizes now the full impact of what Trisha was saying. He happily observes Ishita performing the ceremony. Everyone is relieved to see him home and Toshiji hugs him and everyone is busy celebrating. Raman is standing quietly in the corner and can only see Ishita. He keeps looking at her. Ishita is busy tending to everyone and many people of the society are stopping her and congratulating her for the delivery. She notices many times Raman looking at her but does not know what to make of it or say to him. Also, she is busy with the family members and in ensuring that Pooja is safe and comfortable.
Raman after a short while leaves and goes home. Everyone else is still in the society's hall.
Raman reaches his bedroom and is feeling much better. He does not know why his thoughts are so overwhelmingly only of Ishita. He does not know what to make of his emotions. He thinks that he for sure cannot be falling for her. But there is something within him which instilled in him the fear of losing Ishita and this fear is eating him.
He changes his clothes and lies down on the bed thinking of the incidents of the last few hours. His thoughts are irritating and soothing him at the same time. His thoughts are only broken when Ruhi comes excitedly screaming, "Papa, Papa..." followed by Ishita. Ruhi continues, "Papa, Aapko pata choti baby kitni cute hai... Maine usse apni godi main pakda Ishimaa ke saath." Ishita smiles lovingly at Ruhi and proceeds to change her clothes. She is standing near the dressing table and removing her earrings and is tying her hair up. Raman is listening to Ruhi but is constantly looking at Ishita.
His mind goes blank and he just wants to observe every move of Ishita. Ishita feels concerned and asks Raman, "Raman, Kya hua..". He doesn't say anything and averts his gaze. He instead starts asking Ruhi about the details of the celebration at the hall. Ishita quietly takes her clothes and goes to the washroom to change.
When Ishita comes out of the room, Ruhi is very happy and jumping on the bed. Ishita asks her," Kya hua Ru Beta, aaj toh aap bade khush ho?"
Ruhi: " Ishimaa, aapne promise kiya tha ki jab papa ki khansi thik ho jayegi toh hum sab wapas se ek family jaise soyenge. Main aap dono ke saath soungi."
Ishita is too tired after the events of the entire day and does not want to argue with Ruhi. She sees that Raman does not say anything and shifts to his side of the bed. She smiles at Ruhi and agrees to lie down on the bed.
Ishita lies down and put her hand on Ruhi's stomach. Raman turns around and holds Ishita's hand. She is about to pull her hand when Ruhi also puts her hand on top of theirs and Ishita keeps still. Raman is holding her hand tightly and they have an eyelock. Ishita is unable to comprehend the various emotions in Raman's eyes but for one thing she is sure, he is not angry and is looking at her with some concern. She just lowers her gaze and because she has had a very eventful day because of kanjak ki pooja, house party and then Pooja's delivery, she sleeps almost instantly.
Raman looks at the sleeping profiles of Ishita and Ruhi and smiles contently. He tightens his grip on Ishita. He cannot tell Ishita that it was him who had reminded Ruhi her promise of sleeping together and that he held her hand not because of Ruhi but because he wanted to. Tonight, he needs to be sure that Ishita is still there with him and for him. He needs to be rid of his fears that these riots instilled in him. He needs her to be close to him for his own sake. He needs her and needs her to calm the riots in his heart.
