It's not because of the leak..I think it's more to do with his record label having a "non compete clause" in it that restricts him from releasing music for at least 2 years immediately after his departure from 1D.Non compete clause occurs in lots of corporate contracts in a wide range of professions. It keeps people from practicing in a similar profession to the one they were in for an agreed period of time.2 years is a long time for the entertainment business though...you know...out of sight...out of mind. Fortunately Zayn and the people around him are keeping him in the news...the leak...they let that happen 😆
