The story of Shiv (Jeetu) and Parvati (Jasmin) transcends beyond time and attracts people across demographical, geographical and cultural restrictions. Lord Shiva is one of the most fascinating and intriguing of the Hindu deities. His persona makes every Hindu girl desire a husband like him. Bhola Maheswar portrays Lord Shiva beyond his image as a destructive force. It emphasizes the eternal love story of Shiv and Parvati that still awes us.The story revolves around Lord Shiva. The story opens with the much anticipated swayambhar of Goddess Sati. Sati's father Dakshya Raj is an ardent follower of Sri Vishnu. He condemns Shiv puja in his palace but Sati, his only daughter is a religious devotee of Shiv. She resolves to marry none other than Bhola Maheswar. Dakshya Raj is furious with this behaviour of Sati... But Sati is unmoved. She silently keeps praying for Bhola Maheswar in her heart. At his abode in the Kailasha, Bhola Maheswar is touched with the love and devotion of Sati. He decides to accept her as his wife.

Mahalaya

The story revolves around lord Shiva and Parvati's relationship and the Sati Peeths.

Devi Parvati in her last birth as the daughter of Daksha as Sati and was married to Lord Shiva.
Daksha insults lord Shiva and learning about it Sati dies. Shiva learns about Sati's death and he rendered a terrible "Tandav Dance of Destruction", the more Shiva danced, the more destruction arose.
He destroyed the whole Yagya but his anger was not still pacified. He lifted the dead body of Devi Parvati on his shoulder and started Tandav. The whole of the world became terrified and all the gods went to Lord Vishnu and sought his help. Vishnu went there and he was also not able to pacify Lord Shiva. He then ordered His Chakra and chakra started chopping the parts of the dead body of Sati one by one. When nothing was left on the shoulder of Lord Shiva he was also pacified. There were 51 parts in total made of the dead body and he places where these parts of body fell are recognized as the Sati Peeths.

Akalbodhon

Ram Worships Devi Shakti Dasanan gets Brahma's blessings after ages of worship. Mahadev names him as Ravan. Ravan abducts Sita in disguise. Ram searches for Sita. Vibhishan leaves Lanka protesting against Ravan's misdeed. Hanuman fails to free Sita. Ram worships Devi Shakti to defeat Ravan.
Both the words Akal and Bodhan are Sanskrit words, which are also included in many other Indian languages, such as like Bengali and Hindi. The word Akal means untimed and the word Bodhan means worship or invocation. Thus, Akal Bodhan means worship or invocation of Durga in an uncustomary time. It is given this name since the period of this worship differs from the conventional period, which is during the spring (Basant).
Lord Ram goes to Lanka to rescue his abducted wife, Sita, from the grip of Ravana, the king of the Demons in Lanka. Before starting for his battle with Ravana, Rama wanted the blessings of Devi Durga. He came to know that the Goddess would be pleased only if she is worshiped with 108 Neel Kamal (blue lotuses). After traveling the whole world, Ram could gather only one hundred and seven of them. He finally decided to offer one of his eyes, which resembled blue lotuses. Durga, being pleased with the devotion of Ram, appeared before him and blessed him. The battle started on the Saptami and Ravana was finally killed on the Sandhikshan (i.e., the crossover period between Ashtami [the next day] and Navami [the day after]). Ravana was cremated on Dashami. Since the period of this worship was different from the conventional period, this puja is also known as Akal-Bodhan; a worship (Bodhan) in an unconventional time (A-Kaal).
