This is a song that touches my heart whenever I listen to it. Especially the lyrics are amazing. I heard that a serial was also made on it.. Don't know it was though..

Indeed. JKP is on my list of top three favourite Urdu novels.
But why did you find the ending disappointing? Wait.. did you expect Jihan to die? 😛

JKP is definitely worth reading. Mushaf is like Nimra's Peer e Kamil.. because of these two, Nimra is my second favourite Urdu author!

"Spoilers" for those who haven't read JKP
The whole "shareefon ka mujra" thing that came back into the end I felt it wasn't required. Also Haya taking control of the business in just few days and tackling dushmans seemed so unrealistic to me.

Saba: Allah... Allah hai na... Woh gunahgaar ki sunta bhi hai aur uss ko bakhshta bhi hai, us ko nawazta bhi hai.

Arfeen: Woh Rub hai Saba aur main insaan hun... Woh jesa hai, wesa koi nahi hosakta.

Saba: Haan jesa woh hai, wesa Insaan nahi hosakta. Koi nahi hosakta... Faisla karna bohat asaan kardiya aap nay meray liye.

I absolutely love this dialogue. It always gets me every time. I love how it's so basic and simple..no crazy vocabulary or any innuendos used whatsoever. It's to the point..you miss the things that are yours. I love Daam! (Best Pakistani show I've ever seen in recent times - IMO nothing comes close).

By the way, the scene was enacted so nicely also. Adeel casually says it to SanamB and Mehreen incorporated some music in the back..and it touches you. 😆
