Episode ~192
15th October 2010
Patil Nivas
New day has begun at PN.. and the whole family gathers at the dinner table. Visibly Dutta is missing. Roops smiles mysteriously at Baji.. Naku turns up in a maroon outfit, she looks rather attractive. Roops teases her, where have you hidden Bhau he's not here?. Aye Sahib gets concerned. Naku replies, he's not in his room. Aye Sahib says, I really don't know when his mind will be at rest...Deva! let no more problems come this way. Baji assures her, Aye Sahib, not to worry ,I'll ring Bhau straightaway to find out where he is.. he tries, but says aye, he's not picking his phone up. Aye Sahib, thinks aloud, I wonder where he's gone? I hope this boy hasn't gone to Damoder? all look at each other then a voice.. now don't you worry at all Aye Sahib !all turn to look where the voice comes from.. Kala stands in the doorway, looking as well and as glamorous .. Naku gives a surprised smile! Baji and Aye Sahib both worry , Kala what is she doing back here? she gives them all a bemused look. They all rise from the table and move towards her and wait nonplussed at her sudden appearance , what is it? are you people not happy to see me? not one of you has come forward to receive me... treated like a stranger in my own house? Kala challenges. Aye Sahib smiles, the rest of them also show some delight on their faces.. Aye sahib walks forward, and then shortly Anay walks in with Dutta and Kishore too trails behind. Naku smiles delightfully as she sees Dutta his arm around Anay's shoulder bringing him into the house.. he runs and hugs his grandmother. Dutta too comes by and strokes his nephew's face. Kishore cannot hide his glee, and we've come right in time for food! missed home cooked foods Kala has been feeding us takeaways! Dutta confesses to his mother, I realised that unknowingly ,I committed a big mistake Aye Sahib! I forgot that I had no right to oust Kala Tai from this house.. this home rightfully belongs more to her than me.. Kala gives him a veiled glare.. Dutta continues, due to me the happiness of this house hold was marred, I need the chance to make up for my follies.. he asks his mother.. mind you , we see Dutta sound very repentant and humble like his father.. so really wished he could connect to the point that he has within himself .. his biological fathers good points too..
Dutta then turns to Kala ,stands before her and says, forgive me Tai..for insulting you before all, this house belongs more to you than me Tai.. Kala gives him challenging looks.. Dutta bows his head and confesses, before the whole family I beg for your forgiveness! pardon me.. Kala looks at him his words are like music to her ears.. she's got him where she wants him.. grovelling before her. Then she sounds gracious, no Dutta Bhau.. the fault was mine too, my heart too had so much bitterness against you... but Aye Sahib, I suspect you know what the bitterness was for? then she says tenderly, I hurt you too didn't I Dutta Bhau? Dutta nods his head overcome by his love for her , and Kala continues her act, Aye Sahib, everyone , I caused you grief.. but shall I tell you something, I have left all those bitter memories behind me now.. I only want to give back happiness to this house.. you have apologized to me before all, which means you understand why I was so with you.. now what more can I desire for.. today I am ecstatic to return home. Dutta smiles at her humility and large heartedness.. and asks.. just tell me Tai if you have truly forgiven me? she smiles craftily, listen Dutta Bhau one apologizes to outsiders, not to ones that are your own! and he gives her a sincere, cheek to cheek grin.. she tells him off, which family doesn't have fallouts? but one has to be careful that relationships don't end.. and Dutta sides his eyes ..corrected... Kala decrees with a dazzling smile, from today in this house no one will apologize to any one...we'll all live as one happy family! Dutta looks up wards to swallow his tears. Naku speaks up, Tai come for dinner it's getting cold! And Kala gives her a forced smile.. and says , on one condition that you and your mother.. will sit at the table and eat with me ! this was a deliberate move to win over Dutta .. and he is impressed.. all are surprised by Kala's request! Her sisters think what new ploy is Kala on to? Naku smiles delighted and they all proceed to the table .. Aye Sahib is suspicious of Kala's intentions..
Kala's room
Kala unpacks in her room, and turns to hang her sari in the wardrobe. Aye Sahib enters her room, and confronts her daughter.. Kala asks, what is it Aye Sahib? everyone is hapy to have me back ,but your face still reflects some concern? tell me straight Kala have you really changed or is this all, another of your acts? Asks her mother. Sadly Kala admits, I know mother, you find it hard to believe me, but you knew full well why had so much anger in my heart. Yes I was angry with you, Bhau, and his father.. but today when Bhau came to bring me back! then I realized that it's wise to forget the past..in other words what she really means is what she told Damoder, "Kala never forgets, and she never lets her foe forget either..and she never forgives!" she mocks her mother, Bhau did for me , what you were unable to do all these years.. here she means , Dutta is showing signs of recognizing her rightful worth in this house.. Aye Sahib listens to her sceptically, and she continues, Bhau made me realize my folly.. what you should have done as a mother, that he fulfilled. She has reminded her mother yet again, you never paid heed to me, let alone advise and check me..she continues, poor man , always kept my happiness forefront, meaning you never gave a toss! about me.. he was and is the apple of your eye.. Aye Sahib.. was possibly beginning to read between the lines in Kala's moan. Kala continues to beguile her mother, look at me I created so much trouble between him and Nakusha, but he overlooked all of it.. within an instance he forgave me and accepted me.. which really means , Dutta is such a gullible fool.. who cannot differentiate between good or bad.. then how can he ever fathom my ways! for such a brother how can I harbour hate? so please trust me! look mother I too am a human being, there beats a heart in me too .. so from today I have decided! that I will dote on my brother..
Kishore, another duped person enters the room , and confirms his wife's reformation.. she has really and truly changed Aye Sahib! for one moment I too was taken aback by her! but then thought may be staying apart from her near ones , has made her realize their significance! Aye Sahib turns to face Kala in quiet joy..and says , forgive me my child! I am delighted to have you back as a changed and better person! and she hugs her daughter Kala, who looks over her mother's shoulder, at Kishore lovingly for supporting her.. Aye smiles and bids both of them to relax .. and herself leaves her daughter and her husband alone... Kishore teases her, had I known that you are capable of turning a new leaf! Then I would have tried earlier.. and Kala gives him an amused look, you stupid man! and then replies.. well you are the one who say's there is a time for everything, so think now that the appropriate time has arrived ..to bring changes in myself! and she smiles and adds , I've won you over , Aye, and Bhau too, but I still have to gain the trust of many others..too. and she has an evil smirk on her face.. thinking about her target..
Outdoor seating area
Leela, Sudarshan, Baji and Roops assemble here in the cool of the evening. baji seems to confused . I cannot understand,such strange things happen in this house.. the man we thought was the enemy, turns out to be Bhau's father! and now this , Kala Tai returns all sugar and honey? why? and Kala calls out, I thought you always liked sweetness! She advances towards him like a snake and hisses, if a bitter gourd becomes a little sweet, then so what? ok .. so you don't trust me? but circumstances have changed me Baji! besides.. everything changes in this world! so if I've changed then what's the big deal?.. he goes silent and at his point Roops comes to her rescue.. Tai, whether any one trusts you or not but I trust you completely! do you know I am very happy that you have returned! and Baji rolls his eyes, as he thinks Roops is just saying this to Kala , to play her along.. and that he Baji knows how Roops really feels about Kala.. Roop's really bluffing poor Kala! thinks Baji, being made a fool.. Kala looks at Roops lovingly and Roops carries on, after you left I was distraught, really troubled by what we all did! had Baji not come to my rescue, I wanted to kill myself! but he stopped me!and Kala looks shocked, and then turns to Baji.. look you have done enormous favours for this house! but this has to be your biggest favour! if something would have happened to my baby sister, I don't know how I would have lived!.. I spread a lot of ill will in this house, I am the one responsible for tainting Leela and Roops!but to tell you the truth , Baji! I want to turn everything around! I want to now see everyone united as one in this house, I desire to bring back happiness back in this house! Unimpressed Baji comments, Tai after you left home, a lot has changed in this house.. and all I know is that happiness does not come by itself.. it has to be created! and he turns to Sudarshan coldy, come on Sudarshan Bhau! chapekar phoned, lets sort his problem out! and both exit.. he gives Kala a look on his way out..
Three sisters
Kala gives him a look.. and stands.. her two sisters join her too... and Kala says, Roops what spell have you cast on Baji that this mouse has turned into a lion.. he's roaring at me? did you do exactly as I told you to do Roops or did you go overboard with your acting..and in the process have fell in love with Baji? Roops gives Kala a sly look.. Tai I tried my level best to get his attention towards me! that his eyes should be upon me all the time! to win his trust over, god knows what not I said against you! so much so that I even attempted suicide! cried my eyes out! but this Baji! don't know what kind of a man he is? but don't you worry Tai... he beginning to trust me, but he's not yet in my complete control! Roops reports to Kala.. who tells her, don't worry slowly he will be in your control.. now that Kalavati is back! all that she wants will happen ! Leela adds, Tai in your absence , we did all that you told us to do! so much so that we didn't let anyone know that in this game all three of us are together, but Tai one thing I don't understand is that why was it essential for Baji to be ensnared in the Roops trap? when in reality our targets are only Dutta Bhau and Nakusha! and Kala replies and they will continue to be so forever! Dutta and Nakusha! but what happens is that one has to change ones ploys according to changing circumstances! didn't you get it Leela?.. don't worry, in time all will be clear! explains Kala .. and the evil trio stand together as one yet again!
Dutta at the bar
Night time comes. Dutta sits alone at his bar looking at empty wine goblets.. he is deep in thought as he shifts his eyes around the house.. he unscrews a bottle, and pours a drink for himself. Through the shadows Naku's figure moves to him. and he senses her presence. He is about to drink..and she looks on...then he lowers the glass down from his lips, and asks, are you not going to stop me today? she shakes her head and replies, no Saab, today you will stop yourself.. and he turns his neck to look at her and asks, why? and she replies, because I know lots is going on inside you, and he muses and asks, how do you know?she replies, Saab this much I know, that you have come home!back to your mother! what more can I ask for? and Dutta turns to look at her and says, there's no need for you to ask for anything..what ever you do is always right! if you hadn't taken me out of my messy past! then I wouldn't have returned home.. she says , it's not like that Saab.. and he carries on, must be one unfortunate son who doesn't value his mother's love.. but he gets up and walks past her and admits, no matter how hard I try , I cannot shift from my mind, the face of that man.. my father! episode ends, Hamlet53~ 23.4.14
It seems that another episode of apologies galore are in order.. this time it's Dutta mirroring what his father did in the few previous episodes.. but to me this apology to Kala was out of order.. he was right in ousting her out.. oh Dutta why are you so gullible..? your house and the people in it are a can of worms.. they will eat you alive, never mind dead! sorry state of affairs Dutta is in..
Another shock is the defacing of Roops.. heaven's what a performance before
Baji!
It is clear now that alongside Naku and Dutta her new prey will be Baji... it's clear her plan to disempower Dutta is to break down his support network.. so next mission is to create a rift between Dutta and Baji.. and then between tasha..
But AS she fails to turn against Dutta or vice versa..
No one half decent can be safe in PN.. one has to be crooked , to survive there..
