Dutta~Damoder
The scene continues with Dutta gun aimed at Damoder's forehead..glares at his father..Damoder, asks for forgiveness which Dutta is unwilling to grant... only punishing this man now is his obsession..by death. pardon granted! now face your punishment!yells Dutta and points gun at Damoder's forehead.
Naku can see Dutta means business...much to her horror he cocks the gun in trigger postion.. ready to fire! both men have determined looks..cold and minus of sentimentality! Naku hyperventilates! then the glass slips and smashes on the floor! Before her feet.. Dutta is unalarmed, and Damodar tells him, the dying man is given a last wish.. are you not going to grant that, son.. son? repeats Dutta.. till now I don't get it whose who's father here? he says arrogantly.Damodar smiles in agreement and clarifies, in my life I have come across many fathers, but this one here, only desires to meet his son, that's why I have returned. Before I die I would like to tell you something.. that which you have forgotten over the years and now I come to remind you.. Dutta snarls, the time now! is time for your death!.. Aye Sahib cries, out stop it Dutta! but Dutta without taking his eyes off his enemy replies..no Aye Sahib will not stop today even if Bappa says so! this man's death is a lesson for all those who dare to look at my house! Aye Sahib, cries out , don't do this son! otherwise all hell will break lose this is not right! but Dutta pierces his looks into his enemies face, and damodar says ,much amused, incredible! the same fury! boiling blood! look at me Dutta! look carefully! I may seem to be a criminal, but my crime you know nothing about?.. Dutta mocks him, hey! you frightened or what? sounds by your talk that you are delaying your death! what of your big bravado talk? Damoder replies, so you want to kill me? here pull the trigger and he grabs Dutta's arm that points the gun at him, go on shoot me! but just remember one thing! after killing me you'll regret all your life! he challenges Dutta who firms his face ready to kill this man! and replies in a guttural voice, I accept that! and Dutta is ready to shoot.. Aye Sahib totters , ready to swoon again. Naku looks terrified, only one thing on her mind she has to stop her Saab from killing his father! She runs forward and pushes Dutta's arm upwards out of damoder's way! but a shot is fired! upwards! Naku holds on to his held up arm and cries, this cannot happen!!otherwise a son will be responsible for the murder of his father!!.. Dutta pauses,and glares down at Naku from behind his curved arm. Aye Sahib crumbles to the side! there! the brave Naku tells it how it is to Dutta! all around are shocked! by this breaking news! Damoder blinks his eyes calmly and turns his head to look at Naku, for her timely intervention! Dutta glares at her face! she expects him to strike her with his curved arm! what?? what have you just said? he asks her, Naku looks up him in fear, and he roars, don't talk nonsense Naku!and she looks into his bulging eyes, and owns up, it's true, he is your father.. Naku! yells Dutta ready to give her a back hand..but restrains himself in disbelief.! He nearly manhandles her and roars, don't you try to save this man!.. he then turns to his mother who sits broken down on the settee.. Slowly Dutta walks past the man towards his mother who holds her head in her hands.. Dutta gun in hand stands over her..and asks calmly, what is Naku saying Aye Sahib??? she sobs as she looks up at him, but he growls , I am asking you something Aye!.. his knees give way and he kneels before her, is this the truth that you were hiding from me?? tell me Aye?.. Naku intervenes, Saab! but with a show of his curved arm he stops her! confused he says helplessly, all my life I called myself Dutta shriRam Patil.. how am I related to ShriRam Patil?? tell me please Aye.. if it's true then till today why? Aye fumbles, Dutta.. and he refuses to believe, no! why don't you say something? he gets agitated by her silence, this is not the time to remain silent! say it this man is lying!! he yells.. Dutta begs tearfully, say it this man is not my father! say something Aye he begs as he grabs her hands and she weeps bitterly.. against his hands..that hold a gun.. Naku comes and decides to speak as Aye Sahib seems to have broken down.. Saab, yes this man is your father! twenty six years ago he lost you as a wager in a gambling bout. Then after losing you, he left you crying at the stakes! He is the man who killed Aye Sahib's husband , your uncle. This is the father who robbed his son's childhood! ..it was then that Aye Sahib adopted you and brought you up like her own son...give you her husband's name rather then your own father's name.. Aye Sahib held you close to her heart... so that after hearing the truth you don't feel without a family.. Dutta refuses to believe her , no! and he gets up and he goes aggressively toward's Damoder and grabs him by the back of his neck! and accuses, what new game are you playing? what tales have you been telling them?.. Damoder says , this is the truth about your life.. Dutta glares at him but Damoder continues, the man before you, one who burns in the hell of remorse and repentance is your father..and you are my son.. and he takes Dutta's face in his hands but Dutta bellows, don't! and lifts up his hand holding the gun.. enough! and walks back to his mother and looks down at her, why are you silent Aye Sahib?? confirm that his man lies! tell every one that I am only your son! why won't you say it Aye? he yells. He cries out half broken, with his hands on his head, Aye I have suffered a lot , so much that now I don't have the strength to face anymore! say it mother! he weeps!loudly.. she grabs his hand lovingly.. and cries, son whatever Naku has said is the truth. Dutta pulls his hand from her and turns his face from her with rage and dark gloom... and he looks up wards to swallow his tears... suddenly he holds his head in his hands completely shattered! and as if in a trance walks towards his bar and stands before it... places his hands on the work top and leans to hold himself up and devastated , speaks aloud, betrayed me.. you all cheated me, kept me in the dark! he screams and throws his arm aggressively, against the bottles on the bar surface! All see his extreme reaction of uncontrollable rage! he looks at his mother and bellows why did you hide the truth why why? and to give vent to his surging rage he fires shots up into the air. who else apart from me knows the reality of my existence? with no answer furious! he pushes past every one and leaves .. while behind him look on his father, Baji, his sisters, his mother..
Aye Sahib turns to face Damoder in angst, this is all because of you! and he acknowledges, what an unfortunate father am I that his own son has nothing but deep hatred in his eyes for his father! Aye Sahib , had to say , it's all the result of your ill deeds! that has shown you this day.. but from now on my son will also have hatred for me as well! she says accusingly and walks past Damoder weeping.. and leaves. Soon after .. a lonely , heart broken Damoder walks away down the hall of Patil Nivas .. alone ..exactly like his enraged does a few moments ago..
Indoor garden area
Leela, Roops, Sudarshan stand in the privacy of the garden.. Leela repeats, I couldn't even imagine that Bhau's father killed our father! Sudarshan says mysteriously, god knows how many more skeletons are hidden away in the closets of this mansion Patil Nivas? Dutta Bhau's father.. Leela admits, now I know why Kala Tai loathes Bhau so much! may be she knew everything.. Roops too is shocked! Leela continues, yes she probably knew but kept it hidden from us! Roops looks very hurt by this painful truth about Bhau's real father.. Leela says openly , both father and son are indeed in despicable! Roops is not sure if she agrees with her sister.. Leela hisses, their filthy blood as poisoned our lives! snatched all our joys! and Aye Sahib.. adopted this man's son with tainted blood! and rejected her own daughter Kala Tai ? Roops who couldn't stand her sisters negative cursing Bhau , says no Tai , you are not right! I know my mother! she can do no wrong! Leela snubs her, what would you know ,you are a child! you don't know any thing! Roops digs her heels in and says, I want to see Aye Sahib right now! and she leaves.. Sudarshan is wary of Roops leaning toward's Bhau..
Aye Sahib's room
Naku and Babi stand by her and offer support... Aye Sahib cries, what wrong have I committed Babi? Babi says , don't cry, just relax.. aye Sahib says, Babi you were the one to say that a mother's prayer has great power, so why my supplications won't be heard by the gods! before mine own eyes I saw my husbands death! due to that damoder! yet on Dutta's innocent face I never saw the image of his father! I adopted that man's son! clasped him to my bosom and made him my own! gave Dutta the same love I have for my three daughters! So why now this? oooh Jagdammba goddess?? why won't my requests, my pleas reach you? can you not see my pain? the love I gave Dutta! then why do you punish me? Aye Sahib protests before her goddess...after so many years this Damoder returns! and within a second he proved me as a sinner and left!.. within one second I am reduced to a cheat before Dutta's eyes! my heart cries for Dutta! but today I cannot even go to wipe his tears! cries Aye Sahib.. Roops arrives in her mothers room and says , no Aye Sahib! she sits by her mother and wipes her tears.. and says, you are mother to all of us! you are the best mother of this world! Bhau is only your son!love does not just snuff out.. Aye Sahib! Roops stands up and appeals to Naku! vahini! you say that all will be fine!this is an appeal from Roops to Naku to be intercessor between Bhau and his mother.. say that Bhau will not go anywhere? he listens to you.. that he belongs to all of us.. say it vahini? everything will be ok won't it? begs Roops..and then hugs Naku and pleads crying .. vahini , do something! anything! just bring back Bhau! bring back Bhau back!.. episode ends.. If the last episode was face off between Dutta Bhau and a potential foe.. this episode is a tear jerker between a foster mother and an adopted son .. but there's more to it..
High drama continues regarding the identity of the two men.. Damoder stands condemned but still with hope that his son might accept him..
But when the truth is revealed it's Dutta the estranged son who cannot bear the dark truth.. the blame element sets in as per expected.
He feels cheated, by his near and dear ones. His mother is at the cusp of his blame regarding his true identity..
Aye Sahib falls into pieces and justifies that despite painful circumstances she still brought him up as his own... but now he rejects her as a cheat as well..
Where Leela's reacts by hating and cussing both father and son.. Roops matures and disagrees with her sister.. and in the end not only offers moral support to her mother, but even goes beyond to show respect for her Bhau choice! by appealing to Naku as her SIL..Naku's true value is sought for the first time..
