Ya r may be mr.iyer may know telugu also n near by in delhi south telugu paper might be available n he might took it.tamilians knew telugu also.if he knew it no surprise.some ppl living in metro cities n exposed to different cultures will know different languages.

they can understand r may speak other south indian languages nt they cant read it coz telugu n tamil r nt similar. Bt telugu n kannada script is bit similar..
