I know that very rarely court awards custody to guardians if parents are present and since this is based on book it is very unlikely but what if court asks Ruhi who she wants and she says ishita and courts grants custody only to ishita and romance starts after that
Courts don't give custody to anyone the child feels like: if they asked her, they'd force her to state her preferences. She still loves her papa & dadi, so she'd definitely pick them. Yeah, she loves Ishita, but the moment Raman starts paying her more attention, she'd be more attached to him as well
