Hey Guys I am a bit confused and Zain and Aaliya real cousins or just name cousins. Because if they are real cousins then wouldn't it be wrong if they got married??

Yes Zain & Aaliya are first cousins.
In Islam cousin marriages are not prohibited!
So Zain-Aaliya can get married!

Its an accepted norm in the Muslim community.

Yeah, its different from my usual perceptions too. But I am ready to open my mind to new ones. So I have no problesm with ZaYa even with them being cousins there in my mind.

Cousins can get married in Islam.
There are few relations called Marham relations like father, brother, mother's brother, son's of same father (In case father has gone with second marriage)
It is only these relations where a girl cannot get married to.

Incidentally in the West it is not an uncommon thing, coz even among Christians cousins get married quite often.
In fact many MBs are based on this bit

Lol this question again.

Half the posts made on the forum are about this.😆

Cousins are allowed to get married in Islam. In fact no religion outright forbids it, it's just society and culture has changed that people don't marry cousins. In fact majority of Muslims don't marry their cousins, it's a misconception. I think it's because cousins marrying cousins is slightly more prevalent in India and Pakistan as Muslim shows in these two countries always have at least one couple that are cousins, but that's not really the case in the UK.
