Ekta (Kapoor) is a perfectionist and knows what the public wants: Divyanka Tripathi

Divyanks is quite happy with the way her late night Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is faring.

"We are getting good numbers. I have been told that this is the highest ratings a show in the 11 pm slot has ever garnered. I must give full credit to Ekta Kapoor (Producer) and the Balaji team for having worked very hard to get things just right. We all know that Ekta is a perfectionist and keeps changing scripts till she is satisfied. I, for one, like to work with such task masters for by doing this I can raise my bar. What I also appreciate is the fact that our show is unlike other normal daily dramas and deals with real life issues in a more ordinary way," avers the actress.

"One other major plus point of our story is that we have a set story plot in place which we are following and are not looking at the rating charts for spikes," Divyanka adds.

Additionally Divyanka informs us that in the original novel Custody, on which this mature loves story is based, the Punjabi South Indian clash was not there. This experiment is Ekta's contribution; she knows what the public wants ."I am getting a lot of positive feedbacks regarding my South Indian dentist character (Ishita Iyer). My look is also being appreciated," she observes.

Divyanka is also quite comfortable working with her co-star Karan Patel (Raman Bhalla). "He is a co-operative co-star while the little Ruhaanika Dhawan (Ruhi) is a sweet heart. The entire unit is a breeze to work with," Divyanka reveals.

Finally, she says that she is quite happy to be back with this family drama after Banoo Main Teri Dulhan (Zee TV). "In between, I had tried my hands at comedy (Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale and Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story) and non-fiction (Kahaani Comedy Circus Ki) as well both of which have different audiences and connect respectively. But my heart was always looking for return to soap operas. But I needed to be poles apart from my last avatar in my comeback venture," she ends.
