As you have stated both families are entertaining in their own way.

Classy by definition would mean upscale, elegant, dashing, gracious and from what I have seen so far between these families there is a definite lack of most of these attributes.

Iyer family is educated and does have that in their favour and the Bhalla's do lack in that and they seem to think money means class. Where as we can see that is not the case.
The Iyer family do have a little more grace which we see in their children where as the Bhalla's have rude and sneaky children.

But the contrast between them is what makes it interesting to watch.
