I wanted to know what people thought about the show's last episode which I feel put everything into perspective really nicely..the performances, writing, direction etc?

I think this was the best show of 2013. I really do. I'll elaborate more later. 😆

I do not think it was the best show of the year, since there is ZGH, Nanhi, Talkhiyan. These are my top 3 of the year.
But wht a perfect ending. It was really creepy to see Ruksar and her mother change so suddenly after the Visa, but wht i liked was tht Adnan told her tht she was the one creating issues between Adnan and Kiran.

Also wht made me happy was the Kirans parents finally agreed tht Kirans decision was right.

And ohhh boy tht slap 👏 Made the drama evn more perfect.

Yess, the slap was awesome.

For me, ZGH and Kankar were the best shows of the year. I feel Kankar had overall better presentation because I couldn't find any flaws in the direction or editing which is where I think ZGH kind of slacked off at times. I also loved the last scene between Kiran and Aarzoo..Sanam Baloch's expressions really hit you. She's such an awesome actress.

@ bold i kinda agree on tht. At times i was annoyed by the editing in ZGH
And yes looove Sanam B, for me she was the best in this show.

But in ZGH there was not a single part skipped, i actually do tht ALOT normally, but not once did i skip.
It just wasn't enough for me after an episode.

why didnt she slap him when sikander was beating her up? She could have saved her marriage. Just my two cents

I agree!!!!!!!!👍🏼...The problem for me that during Kiran's marriage with Sikander, her character took a backward step! I didn't like that at all! From the beginning she has been known as this bold, independent and no nonsense woman, but her marriage to SIkander writers totally changed her character..As, if they wanted this ti happen so that she could end up w/ Adnan, which is understandable b/c Adnan is very loving and respectful. Maybe they wanted to show that stark difference between the two men in Kiran's life.

As you said, she could have slapped him during their marriage too, and try to atleast let Sikander know that none of his abuse was acceptable to her...Maybe then the resulting end would have been different for Kiran and Sikander..I don't mind Adnan and Kiran together in the end, but there was a lot that Kiran should have done during her marriage with Sikander, compared to how she suddenly got this strength to slap in the end, but not while she was married to him..

In the end, it was a nice drama, but I would have wanted to redo some actions when Kiran was married to Sikander. I personally enjoyed their pairing. And, by no means I say that she should have stayed w/ the abuse, but for me I wish the writers had kept her character intact, as she was b/4 her marriage to Sikander, the result definitely would have been different if she had the strength and power to slap Sikander back while she was married to him. Kiran and Sikander both could have grown then, if that had happened.

Slapping Sikandar initially wouldn't have been this effective. Yes, it could've been an option but given Kiran's circumstances..would it really have helped a guy like Sikandar understand? He'd probably just push her out the window in return. I also think Kiran became a stronger individual as the show progressed. The scene where Kiran slaps Sikandar was not about Kiran..it was about Sikandar and his realization of what a douchebag he is. I don't see how Kiran slapping Sikandar in return to him slapping her would've led to anything earlier on in the show..it would've rather just been a messy situation for the two. I also don't think Sikandar would've realized anything..now, he was actually a father of a little boy..Kiran telling him if he didn't fix himself his son would end up just like him post the slap really hit him.

Oh and I also feel that Sikandar felt like he owned Kiran JUST because he loved her. I personally do not think he would've ever changed if he still was with Kiran all this time. It's funny how he even slapped Aarzoo because of something related to Kiran and not because of Aarzoo herself...and if you think about it..that's exactly why he never slapped Aarzoo prior to that incident. He didn't have anything to do with her because he never felt like he "owned" her and he never loved Aarzoo. Sikandar was sort of obsessed with Kiran. 😆

Such an amazing show.
I felt the drama was very realistic. In the beginning, both Adnan and Sikander were kind of perfect. There are issues and arguments in any relationship and even Adnan didn't remain perfect after they got married. But Adnan always respected Kiran even though they were having issues. I thought he went a little crazy when he constantly took his mother/sister's side and told Kiran he won't listen to her anymore, but I am really glad he knew where the real problem lie and what is right and wrong. He knew all along it was Rukshar's fault, but he couldn't say anything to her. A relationship can handle external pressures better than internal ones and for me, that's where the difference was in the two relationships.

I'm really glad they didn't go with the ending in the book where Kiran ends up with an older man because he respects her. She deserved someone who loves and respects her and I am certain there are men out there who can do both.

I also agree that it would have made no difference to Sikander if Kiran slapped him while they were married. She explained things to him so many times, but it never had an effect. She lost her baby because of him! and even that didn't change him. He also lost his child. When she slapped him, he did have a child. Everyone at this point was telling him he was in the wrong and should have treated his wife with respect. Her slap was the final blow and she added that if he didn't want his son to turn out like him, he better change and stop being abusive. In the end is when he finally realized all that he had lost.

I completely agree! I love how Umera showed both Adnan and Sikandar to be perfect guys in the beginning..but they both were flawed which is only realistic. Also, the one thing I really liked about Adnan which is what you also pointed out..is how he realized that his relationship with Kiran was being negatively impacted..sure it didn't happen instantly but he realized it rather quickly when in comparison to Sikandar who kind of never realized where he went wrong until the slap. 😆
