Bheeshma nd Hastinapur
He the righteous heir of Hastinapur whose each and every decision became a part of history. The person who gave up all his rights for fulfilling his father's wish. None can replace his place in the whole story of Mahbharat. Even after giving up his rights he never allowed a wrong decision to be taken in hastinapur. He became support system to Satyavati and a protector to the royal throne in absence of rulers. Though he hold no high status in the kingdom of hastinapur he was top to all.. As pitamah to Dhritrashtra and Pandu he tried his best to bring them up with all good qualities in them. His family was the topper most priority to him irrespective of right and wrong.
Bheeshma and VichitraveerBheeshma tried his level best to protect and correct Vichitraveer making him capable of managing the throne even after realising that he would never be a good ruler. He upheld the promise given to Satyavati that it would be her son who would sit at throne of hastinapur. Even after Vichitraveer's death Bheeshma stood as protector to Hastinapur Kingdom waiting for Vichitraveer's son to become capable of Managing throne
Bheeshma and Amba,
Truth should always be protected. Realising that he unknowingly became the reason of Amba's misfortune, he was always ready to help her, but Amba who was all in anger never gave an ear to Bhesshma. It was him who send her to Parshuram, saying that Truth should always be protected. He knew it was only Parshuram who would question him, defeat him, still not thinking for a second he guided amba to her destination without any fear or disgrace. He was always a man who respected women
Bheeshma and Vidur
Bheeshma was always against crowning Dhritrashtra but then unable to correct Satyavati himself, he did his work with the help of Vidur- who used to be his greatest disciple. His gyan to Vidur that ..when it comes to choose between Truth and family, one should choose the truth, though it will bring fury at beginning, at the end it shall only be truth that will be upheld and praised changed the whole history of Hastinapur.
It was a toss up between the two characters who were shown negative in this version!! d although I am not a big fan of Ratan, Hats off to the two ladies for holding on their own in amidst such a powerful cast!! Sayatani was almost a discovery, with her shrewd and selfish Character portrayal, and Ratan was perfect as the fiery, avenging and stubborn Amba. Satyavati's character, inspite of portryaed as completely different by CVs in here...Sayantani held up her own ...and Ratan, inspite of her small frame was a tough challenge to the tall and powerful Bheeshma!!!
