Thank you rasyafan for these videos. they are very informative.

one thing i wanted to say here was that though people either chastise or sympathize or validate the favouritism of draupadi towards arjun, they seem to forget that these statements were an interpretation of yudhisthra for their fall enroute to heaven. however whether they are the actual reasons is not validated anywhere in the texts.

that being said what is mentioned in the text is that bby casting away their bodies draupadi and his brothers reach heaven before yuddhisthra and their being in hell is only a illusion shown to yudi for his lie to drona.

"Shakra said, Thou shalt behold thy brothers in Heaven. They have reached it before thee. Indeed, thou shalt see all of them there, with Krishna. Do not yield to grief, O chief of the Bharatas. Having cast off their human bodies they have gone there, O chief of Bharata's race. As regards thee, it is ordained that thou shalt go thither in this very body of thine.'

O son of Pritha, thy brothers, O king, were not such as to deserve Hell. All this has been an illusion created by the chief of the gods. Without doubt, all kings, O son, must once behold Hell. Hence hast thou for a little while been subjected to this great affliction. O king, neither Arjuna, nor Bhima, nor any of those foremost of men, viz., the twins, nor Karna, ever truthful in speech and possessed of great courage, could be deserving of Hell for a long time. The princess Krishna too, O Yudhishthira, could not be deserving of that place of sinners.

all those kings and princes who died in the kurukshetra war attained heaven. no one was sent to hell- not even shakuni and kauravas!!

You are most welcome dear

Draupadi was an incarnation of Maha Kali, who was born to assist Lord Krishna (who is Maha Kaal) to destroy all the arrogant Kings of India. That is why they are considered brother and sister though they shared no blood relation. Draupadi is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi's Kali roop, and since Krishna was an incarnation of Vishnu, they shared a sibling relationship on Earth too.

Draupadi was not "meant" for anyone. She had a sole purpose in being born, and that was destruction. Once she achieved her purpose, her incarnation ended. She was married to the Pandavas because of the boon she got from Lord Shiva in previous birth, but otherwise her sole purpose was the destruction of arrogant Kings.

Thanx Janaki for this info...😃
I heard this first time 😊

Read all posts...wonderful discussion going on 👍🏼

I feel Karna did all these not because of his friendship rather because of that incident where Duryodhan helped him & made him Angaraj...if he consider himself as real friend of Duryodhan then he should stop him doing such wrongs...
A real friend is not who just blindly follow rather who shows the right path...

exactly he was indebt of Duryodhan and I am sure he regretted taking his help every second of his life

He tried very hard to hsow the right path to Duryodhan and also tried to show Shakuni's real face to him but Duryodhan was too stubborn and egocentric to listen to anyone even his closest friend Karn.

But this friendship was not real it was based on needs and wants and ambitions.

Hey I dont think Karna depended on Duri every second of his life for favours on the other hand he felt indebted every second and therefore served him every second. It wasnt exactly friendship but a feeling of indebtedness that bound Karna to Duri. Karna never felt an equal to Duri so couldnt openly correct or oppose his or Shakuni's wrongdoings.

if karna was made for Draupadi then she would have married him, but didnt happen, so he was not made for her; and what didnt happen, isnt worth pondering over

hi all,
just wanted to share my thoughts on the karna-draupadi angle.
whether he was made for her or not, unless kunti had come forward and revealed his identity, there was no chance of draupadi marrying karna.
u guys have to understand that it would have been wrong as per the scriptures- a pratiloma marriage!
draupadi was not wrong in rejecting karna. girls then didnt marry a man of lower caste (the vice versa is accepted). and at that time karna was just a sut-putra (charioteer's son) . getting anga kingdom didnt change his caste. nobody else knew his true identity.

karna seems a tragic hero to many but his behaviour to draupadi during dice-game is unforgivable. his sentence - calling draupadi a vaishya and saying its immaterial even if she was brought in the hall without clothes- is what initiates the disrobing. 😡
karna technically had no reason for revenge on draupadi.

When it comes to bruised egos technicalities are seldom required 😊
How does one explain Kunti's and Krishna's attempts at making Karna join the Pandava forces by revealing the truth of his birth just before the war? What I found shocking was that both Kunti and Krishna had offered Draupadi to Karna along with the kingdom as an enticement to join their side What did they take Draupadi for Angry What Kuntio and Krishna did by offering Draupadi to another man who insulted her at the dice game doesnt look any different than Yudi staking her . Infact worse since it happened after his behaviour at the dice game

krishna's attempt was only to demoralize him , he knew karna wouldnt say yes and he wasnt keen on having karna on pandavas side. he just wanted to tone down the aggressive hatred of karna towards the pandavas.

with kunti , the less said the better!!😡 somehow i dont think this time draupadi would have agreed to her mother in law like a docile bahu!

af far as briused egos goes, karna was always insulted for his birth throughout the epic, even by bhishma and drona. why didnt he plan vengence on them?
draupadi was not the only women to reject him. no king was ready to give his daughter's hand to karna. both of karna's wives vrushali and supriya were charioteer's daughters. then how he thought his ego to be hurt by only draupadi's refusal and not others?😕

Out of all these women Draupadi was the only one who was put in that vulnerable position thanks to her MIL who asked her to marry 5 brothers and to those 5 husbands who gambled her away as if she were a commodity.
Just imagine Draupadi's plight if Karna had accepted Kunti's and Krishna's offer of accepting the kingdom AND Draupadi !
