Today's episode begins with a guilty looking Bhishma who comes to his mother Ganga to ask for advice and sympathy. He feels guilty as he believs he sacrificed Ghandhari's happiness for Hastinapur. Ganga tells him he can never sin as he is her son, since he doesn't have any malice in his heart he shouldn't be upset.
Scene shifts to Ambika and Ambalika in the palace. Ambalika is prasing Ghandhari's sacrifce but Ambika wonders whether Ghandhari decided to blindfold herself as a sacrifice or because she wanted to revolt against marrying a blind man.
Next we see Dhritrashta coming to meet Ghandhari on their wedding night. He is angry with her decision as she has no idea what it's like to live without seeing. He becomes angrier still when he realises she has switched her gold and jewels for flowers, as he feels she is trying to insult his blindness. He thinks she is a fool for giving up her sight as thretens her that once he becomes King he will order her to remove the blindfold. She agrees saying that it will be the last thing she does before stepping into the fire to end her life.
Dhritrashta has had enough and declares that she may become Queen of Hastinapur but he won't accept her as his wife.

Satyavati and Bhishma are discussing Dhritrashta being overeager to become King. Satyavati is in favour but Bhishma is against Dhrit being King as he feels he won't be able to understand people's problems if he can't accept and live with his own. Satyavati says he will have Vidhur to guide him and Pandu toprotect the country as Senapati. Bhishma says what if Dhrit doesn't make Vidhur Prime Minister? A King's word is akin to God's Law...neither Bhishma or Satyavti would be able to go against him! Satyavati decides to make Pandu Senapati and Vidhur Mahamantri before Dhrit is made King.
Next morning Vidhur comes to Bhishma for blessing and ask how to choose between love and dharma...but he decides to do the right thing. Bhishma is happy with him
Pandu is also getting blessings from Ambalika.
Dhritrashta back to his daydreams of becoming King. He starts practicing his speech for when he'll be crowned King...but is then interrupted by the arrival of Ghandari and Shakuni.
Precap: Just as Dhrit is going to be made King, Vidhur (as Mahamantri now) buts in and says that a blind person is not capable of being a good King. Satyavati looks shocked! 😆
