Radio Mirchi's Pune station would be completing its second year of operation on May 1. The radio station, which has a listenership of 12.5 lakh, would celebrate its anniversary with a host of special programmes and contests.

These include Mirchi Mic Ka Lal contest, where one listener is given an opportunity to collaborate with the big names of Indipop on the station's special anniversary jingle. The other attractions would be Bollywood stars such as Sonali Kulkarni, Rakesh Bapat and Sameer Dharmadhikari as radio jockeys for the anniversary programme. The list of celebrity jockeys also include names like Prashant Damle (theatre artist), Mrinal Kulkarni (television actress), Indian 'spice girl' Mahua Kamath (of Viva fame) and Miss India Universe, Tanushree Dutta.

On May 2, the second day of the anniversary celebrations, Punekars can ask for two songs of their choice on the programme, 'Mirchi pe Mirchi Mayhem'. The station is also planning to launch some fresh voices, new shows and more of 'Puneri' flavour as part of its anniversary celebrations.
