Josh is the inspirational film that addresses various social issues like class separation, individual empowerment, and women's rights. It is the story of a teacher (Fatima) who eventually becomes philanthropist after tasting the flavour of cruelty of life outside the highly sophisticated life of Karachi. She is attached to her nanny Nusrat Bi. Seeing a cruel face of life is the changing point for her and she refuses to accept it all as a result of an accident only. Fatima decides to continue the Khana Ghar (Food Kitchen) that Nusrat Bi was running in her area. With the help of her friends she manages to launch the khana ghar but this isn't the end... The lack of self esteem, absence of motivation, and fear of local feudal lord were the intangible villains of the story.

Khuda Key Liye revolves around a happy family residing in Lahore. The two brothers - Mansoor and Sarmad - are singers. While Mansoor moves to the US for further education, Sarmad gets influenced by the extremists of Islam and stops listening/singing music, taking pictures in the name of Islam. Story moves to Mariam who is a British born Pakistani girl who is in love with Dave. Her father finds out and isn't too happy about this and decides to take her to Pakistan. While touring, he gets her married - forcibly - to Sarmad. Mariam tries to run away but is forced to consummate her marriage with Sarmad. Later, she does eventually get away and files a case in the court of Pakistan against her father and husband. That's when a Moulvi enters the court and says that Islam is being butchered in the name of Jihaad. Sarmad realizes his mistake and frees Mariam of the marriage. Mariam moves to the same village where she got married to teach the little girls. While, in the parallel, Mansoor is also in trouble when he thought he was in bliss. Being in love with an American girl, Janie and the two eventually get married after Janie leaves a few things behind of her previous unhappy life. Suddenly, 9/11 breaks out which results in Mansoor being taken into jail for questioning as well. After a year of torture by the FBI, he is deported back to Pakistan and reunites with his brother and parents.

Behaddrevolves around a widowed mother - Masooma - who is raising a daughter. The daughter played by Sajjal is very calm until a new man, who also happens to be Masooma's friends brother, Jamal who was recently divorced. The age gap between the two is of about 6 years but the two look beyond and above that and get engaged. Add to that Maha's insecurity of losing her mothers constant attention. Maha plays a huge drama where she claims that Jamal attempted rape. The story leaves the audience wondering whether it is really not okay for the children or the society to accept a second marriage.

Bol starts with Zainab who is about to be hanged and she thinks back to the incident that brought her there. She is in front of the media and is given a chance to tell her story. She starts by telling about her father - Hakim Sahib - who wished for a son always, after a failed attempt resulting in 4 daughters, he finally has a son. The son - Saifi- is transgendered daughter, the father hates him very much. One day, he chokes him to death after a few males who rape him. Zainab doesn't take too well to this news and starts hating her father with a passion. Hakim Sahib is then found out to being married to another much younger girl who is a prostitute for money. He doesn't tell anyone and goes to her occasionally. Parallel to this story is the love story of Mustafa and Ayesha blooming, Ayesha is the daughter of Hakim Sahib while Mustafa is a guy who resides next to Hakim Sahib's house. The two are married without the permission o f Hakim Sahb because he doesn't like Mustafa's father. Meena is the second wife of the Hakim, and has to give birth to a daughter to keep the prostitution legacy going. Eventually, Meena gives birth to a daughter but instead feels for her and gives her to the 4 sisters at their doorstep. Zainab kills her father who tries to kill the newborn because Meena's brother is after Hakim Sahib. Therefore, at the end the most famous dialogue of Zainab arrives leaving everyone wondering the exact same thing "Jab khila nahin saktay ho, toh paida kyun kartay ho?!"

Aaina is the story of Aliya, a very spoiled daughter of rich parents; she's the apple of their eyes, and Sameer, a very simple and down-to-earth writer. The two meet by chance and after a few pleasant meetings, they fall in love. After the much abhorred marriage of the two love-birds begins their journey against all odds, when it's time for them to face life and its complexities on a daily basis. The class difference and the mere juxtaposed lifestyle of Aliya and Sameer bring about miles of separation between the two, and to add to their miseries is the ego and pride of Aliya's parents against Sameer.
