Time to invest more time into Adeel Hussain, Mikaal, Fahad Mustafa, Faisal Qureshi etc..who'll actually still be working in Pakistani serials.

for starters, lets hope Adeel Hussain and Mikaal's next show together turns out huge. 😆

Why the shift to BW, he has everything sitting home in Pak. He could really lose his sheen going there. There's no shortage of talent either way. Fawad is a good actor when he's interested but IMO there are far more intense actors around like Faisal, Fahad etc.

At the moment, if Fawad were to take up a Pakistani film he would be out of his mind to be asking for a very high price because our films are only prospering. Producers etc aren't in the perfect position to offer actors/actresses their demanded amount of money. He may not even do a full fledged Pakistani film ever
if this his way to go. As we all know bollywood will always offer more regardless.

I mean KJo and Mahesh Bhatt - their films don't have much quality to speak of, but I'm sure Fawad will be satisfied with his paychecks.

In my opinion, that's where the disappointment comes in. Fawad claimed an actor feels frustrated in Pakistan because they don't have much to do, since there are no films so they stick to TV. This has been true until recent. But now when our industry is trying to grow, he walks out? New writers, new directors, new actors... people are taking professionalism seriously and he's going to Bollywood. There's nothing wrong in doing an Indian film if you're willing too, but why couldn't he have done a Pakistani film first? He claimed that his country is his first priority and he'll always give it preference and work for it. I fail to see how Mahesh Bhatt or KJO can offer him a pathbreaking role, different from what he's already done. It's kind of selfish on his part or actually he's just very short-sighted. He doesn't see the long term consequences. He's the most popular actor in recent times. If he quits TV or doesn't work for the Pakistani film industry, I doubt the ratings would be as successful. Television made him a star... films can take him much further. If he leaves once I don't think he'll be interested in making a comeback. Stardom doesn't stay... It eventually fades away. His popularity could decline. I know he's never really been interested in television to begin with. It was an altervative because there were no films, and he always wanted to come in films. His paycheck is already higher than Noman Ijaz, Faysal Qureshi, and even Fahad Mustafa who are all miles ahead of him in terms of versatility. Why would filmmakers or even producers bother to approach him if he's unwilling to lower his fees? They can easily find a replacement considering how small and competitive the industry is anyways.

I agree.. that's why I'm disappointed. It's not about going to Bollywood..it's about leaving Pakistan and the work that he could potentially do here especially at such a time FOR Bollywood. Taking a look at his supposed accepted offers, doesn't seem like he'll be doing anything extraordinary and perhaps nothing he hasn't done before...which just makes it seem like he rather earn loads of money than anything else at such a stage in his career.

I would've felt differently if Pakistan wasn't coming up with a good amount of decent films..or if Fawad wasn't being offered a single film etc. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. Even if he did a few Pakistani films or even one or two at most and then decided to accept something outside of Pakistan..that too would seem acceptable..but at such a time? I don't know what he's thinking. He could easily become a huge hit on the big screen and bring crowds to the theater...and possibly internationally as our films can eventually be screened abroad. It's not only beneficial for him but also for Pakistani entertainment as a whole. As a fan, I feel disappointed. I doubt we'll see Fawad in a Pakistani film/show anytime soon..and I don't know how his bollywood ventures will turn out for him though I do wish him the best. Also, most Pakistani actors who try working in bwood end up losing their charm when they return. It's just never the same.

And, there's no lack of talent in Pakistan..if today Fawad denies all the offers he's getting within Pakistan be it dramas or films...then producers etc will just settle for another good actor for a lesser/more reasonable price which may be Fawad's loss. Eventually, viewers may feel indifferent upon his return (I hope not but it happens). Fawad may have always wanted to do films..but there's so much you can achieve by working for Pak's entertainment as well. He already has accomplished so much..I genuinely feel he could've given Pakistani films a different kind of revival altogether..he could've also proven his versatility as an actor like Faisal Qureshi etc by doing a variety of things in Pakistan..which all in all would've made him one of the best performers to come out of Pakistan. How is that not satisfying as an actor? I mean look at Faisal Qureshi. The guy has so much respect as an actor and will go down as one of the best and most versatile actors in Pakistan..likewise with Noman Ejaz. I just don't see the logic in Fawad's decision and I doubt I ever will.

This is what I don't understand. Fawad claims to be very patriotic and dedicated towards making a difference for the future, for trying to set an example for the youth. Yes everyone works for money but shouldn't the focus first be upon the type of roles you do and not the money? He's a good actor of-course but versatility is something he needs to expand on. I think Fawad could've easily achieved much more from Pakistani films instead of going to Bollywood. If fans wanted to see him in films, I'm pretty sure in the coming years the industry will be coming up with some good stuff. His contribution is clearly needed towards Pakistani films right now. He's the face that could pull crowds in and like you said help revive cinema. I also don't understand the logic behind his decision, but Fawad's always known to make odd career choices. He says so himself...

I dont think Mahira will be doing BW movie anytime soon. As people said she had some personal problems.
As for Fawad, I totally get the reason why he would want to do a BW movie. He always wanted to do movies and the money there is far more then what he would have gotten in Pak.

I truly believe that if Fawad would have acted in Pakistani movie people would have come out to see him. He is REALLY popular right now. He could have taken the advantage of his popularity.

Anyway I am waiting for a confirmation if he is really doing movie with KJO or Mahesh Bhatt. My TV screen will really miss him though!
